Peak District Mountain Bike Loop

  • This mountain bike route in the Peak district is a classic for me. Starting in Castleton, I rode the broken road up around Mam Tor and to Hollins Cross.
    From there I dropped down into the Edale Valley and headed over towards Hagg Farm (although when I say I am at Hagg Farm in the video, I'm actually not!) and eventually down to Ladybower.
    The final climb through the woods was towards Win Hill where I spotted a few mountain bikers to chase down to the Hope Valley.
    If you are looking for a solid 20 mile mountain bike route with some classic descents like 'The Beast', then this is a pretty easy one to navigate.

      D'you, I rode cavedale a long time ago, but haven't for years. I must loop that in next time I'm up there. It is such an amazing place to ride though. You're lucky having it on your doorstep.

      @OriginalCyclist  6 лет назад

      Hi Tom. I keep Strava largely private as there have been too many bikes stolen from my local area! I do have a .gpx file if that helps?

      What does strava have to do with stealing? I don’t understand.
      I don’t know how to use gpx so thanks
