Great video mate, made me chuckle you kept saying on your right to the two riders, pretty sure second one never heard you as you went past 🤣🤣 I will destroy my rear mech there for sure!! Great scenery and you were flying at times!
I saw them later and apologized if it seemed I was buzzing them. I gave them plenty of warning, got worried about the one in front as I knew that feature was coming up and two into one was never going to work there 😂. It's a beautiful but tough ride. Cheers mate.
@@MTB_Derbyshire 🤣🤣🤣 Well you did call out a few times, where is your famous bell..... I do want one of them as well, so not taking the mick either 🤣 Plus I have experienced first hand your calling out coming by remember, oh no hang on you never did with me 🖕🏻🖕🏻🤣
That looks like a great tour buddy, nice landscape and great trails. Nicely ridden an great shota👌. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. Ride on and have a nice weekend🤙
Bloody great video mate. Great to see that having already made the mistake of crossing the ford with no waterproof socks on at the start, you do it on the way back too because what's the point in trying to have dry feet by then 😂 I have now added Cut Gate to the list of trails I want to do this year - you shall be my guide 👍
Once the seal is broken and all that! I'm not bothered about getting wet really , it just seemed like something to say 😂 Cut Gate really has some great sections.... Very happy to guide, although not in any official capacity as I have no mtb Leadership or first aid qualifications.
I've not done this loop since 2019, what a great ride, well ridden mate, you were flying "oh, that wasn't very smart" 🤣🤣🤣 Great video mate, really enjoyed that 😃👍
Thanks. It's a classic loop and you'll find it in loads of places. But you could do worse than follow my Komoot channel. This is my ride. www.komoot.com/tour/967901101?ref=aso Hope that's useful 😎
@@MTB_Derbyshire that's brilliant thanks. Can you recommend any other quality peaks rides? Did mam Tor and Jacobs other wk as 1st time to the peaks...was awesome
@@shannonmtb obviously depends upon what you like. Jacob's ladder classic is another you should do. Eastern moors and Blacka moor is excellent. Froggatt edge is stunning. Plus, get cavedale in....it's a pretty mad rocky descent. Look through my rides you'll find some good ones.
Hello, I'm Brecht from Belgium, in a few months I'll be mountain biking near the peak district. So I'm looking for routes. is it possible to send me the gpx of this route? the route looks fantastic! regards

I edited out all of that part 😂. There's plenty of variations, but ultimately it's a lollipop route. Sometimes I go all the way to the main road and past the cafe before coming back sometimes I cut through North America sometimes I go up the recently resurfaced way and rejoin the cut gate path on Mickledon edge. All good as you say it's a great route 😎👍
@@MTB_Derbyshire i’m sure I seen some form of carpark very close by as you peddle up the reservoir before you start the climb? Would love to cut short the long pedal from Ladybower.
@@twowheels4689 no....I park near the bridge then ride all along the three reservoirs. I agree it's a pain. You can park at the langsett end of course, then you can turn around once you reach Howden. As I live south side I always do it from Ladybower.

With the right conditions - its one of the most epic trails in The Peak. Thanks for the vid!
Always feels like you're in the middle of nowhere until you get to Langsett 🤣 Great trail. Cheers mate!
Did this last Sunday for the 1st time. Wow! Epic is an understatement!
Definitely feels like you've accomplished something doesn't it. Tough old route with some great descents 👌

Couple of daft laying the bike down moments that made me laugh, really is a great ride, thanks Marc. Like to go back in the sunshine though :)
Great vid Mate 🔥🔥
Thanks, a pleasure to make it! 👍
Great stuff 👍 really well ridden, a true peak district classic.
Cheers mate! Apart from the two crashes it was well ridden you mean 😜 It is a great run, can't believe I've not done it for so long.

Get thee sen out and up Cut Gate. ..before it gets muddy again 🤣👍 prime ATM
Can’t beat a bit o cut gate
It's definitely a real out there feel to it that you don't always get. The main descents are great fun too. Cheers 👍
@@MTB_Derbyshire done it a few times summer and winter wet and dry,I like the isolation feel when you ride over the cut gate!
Gotta ask as it was bugging me in the video (😂) is your stem, and therefore bars straight? It looked slight right side down 🤔 #cannotunseeit
I think it's a bit of an optical illusion, although it might explain why I crash so much 🤣. You'll have to watch all my videos to make sure 😜👍
