What a fantastic tutorial!!! Thank you so much I really appreciate it. If i don't make it to vogue knitting in NYC because of the snow this weekend, I'll have a project to do....thanks again
I'm so excited about your crescent shawl. How many inches deep was the back of your "real" shawl and how long is the neck edge. Thanks so much for sharing
+Charlene King I usually do things by eye or a round number. I want to say 50 stitches. What's nice is that as you knit it, it's off the machine enough for you to judge how wide it is or actually measure it.
Hello, at this time I currently improvise my designs. With the knitting machine, it's fast and easy just to experiment on the fly and see what you get, as I did in this video. If I ever develop a pattern, I will indicate so in a new video. Thanks! Happy crafting! ^_^
This is really clever. Have you done this full size and how many needles would you use at the fixed point for an adult size shawl? I noticed the chalk board. Are you a math teacher? (:
Hi! I've only made it this size as a demonstration for the short rows, but the nice thing is that you start at the point and then work it as wide [on the needle bed] as you want in order to achieve the vertical length you want. I love chalkboard, I have them all over the house for sketching and jotting down ideas. Not a math teacher though ^_^ Thanks for your comment!
I have not yet tried short rows on the ribber. I’m curious to know how it looks. My double bed is out of commission at the moment. I hope you give it a try and report back! Happy crafting ^_^
Still the best MK tutorial on achieving a crescent shape - thank you again.

Thanks! I wish I had measured it. I frogged it right after. If I were to guess, I'd say 18-20".
Now, with you larger multi colored sample, could you share how many stitches wide you made it? Thanks again

Mil gracias. Co croquis. Se entiende
Fantastic. Do you have a written pattern for purchase
