Think about the fact that when MWIII came out, everyone ended up pissed off and nobody liked it. Phantom forces is almost 10 years old and still going strong. It's legitimately such a good game.

@@paleoph6168 yes but they were protected originally. Only increasing pressure and it becoming too hard to defend resulted in one of those former staff stepping down. Mind you there are many issues with the PF devs outside of this area. PF isn't as good as it used to be

Though it is still successful, it’s still an honest to God pain to grind weapons, which considering how sweaty the playerbase has gotten to where they’re implementing weapons past rank 100, it’s just not fun anymore.
Haven't play phantom forces for years and it looks cooler now.

I'm still suprised by the ammount of content that phantom forces still manage to deliver , nearly the same as Payday 2 . And the thing is , it's free and doesn't even cost you a whole hard drive for installation

Difference is, cod doesn't use actual name of the gun worried that they get sued. But pf, they don't care or doesn't know or idk, respect for them to put actual name on every weapons including the conversion
StyLiS DID have some run ins with copyright in some areas before (specifically the glock family being renamed to just the G family, as well as the Remington 870/700 being renamed to Model 870/700) but for the most part they skirt around possible copyright issues by using official military designations of some weapons (SIG P320 is labelled as the M17)
It’s not that their worried it’s that the companies that own the guns are dumb and greedy the only reason pf uses the real name is because it’s a small 3rd party Roblox game

PF uses real weapon names and models because their studio is made up of a few people and nowhere near as big as Sledgehammer, and their game is a third-party game made in Roblox, so they don’t have to worry about restrictions and copyrights NEARLY as much as Sledgehammer does

It's the Devs behind PF that did it. In most other games, like Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5 or Frontlines, the feature is not present

One interesting thing to note about that for the HAMR IAR, or the lmg version of ScarL, under countinous shooting, its firerate also increases from 650 to 900, which is a neat detail for a Roblox game, and yes its a real thing, the IAR is designed to shoot faster under continuous spray due to its internal heat making shooting more quicker

2:57 I think you should've recorded the Five-0 instead of the Colt SMG. The Five-0 is the level 155 PDW with a 9mm conversion that turns it into the AR-9 in-game

this is an amazing display of how much Stylis studios (creators of phantom forces) actually care about their game. I have never seen a group of developers so dedicated to a shooter game, with frequent improvements, updates, and content added to the game over the years.

Love that in MW3 the spend cartridge casings will just disappear on-screen right after firing, while with PF the spent cartridges will land on the ground and disappear after a bit.
i know, it’s weird. what makes it weirder is the old cods did it too (MW2 2009, for example) and it’s even weirder that they don’t do it in MW23 cause each shell casing in MW23 is individually modeled with extreme details, but they can’t throw that model on the floor💀

The thing most people don't catch about PF is it's basically a triple hybrid between BF, CoD and CS:GO
The current Game play is inspired by CoD
The HUD is straight out of Battlefield
The way you get skins is through a case/key roll of the dice that was taken from CS:GO
Well the gameplay isn't really based off of cod more of it originally comes from BF4 (in terms of game modes) though it is somewhat similar.

Roblox is still better and more fun than COD MWII.5 70$ DLC because has correct gun names, better gun model, fun gameplay, better customization weapon, & has 1+ chamber mechanic

The funniest thing is that the gun models in PF are more realistic than that in MW
they really aren’t. they’re good, but they’re really low poly and textureless. the parts don’t move on some guns, sometimes the bolts don’t lock back on some guns (G36 for example) some weapons are incorrectly depicted with reciprocating charging handles, etc. although they do use real weapon names and models, the weapons in MW23 are photographed, scanned, modeled (modified to avoid copyrights, i’m assuming) and then ported into the engine. it sucks that cod can’t use the names and models cause of California laws, copyrights and restrictions, but overall i think both games do a pretty good job with models, just MW23 has more detail in them

@@elongated_musket6353 oh, that’s because PF is developed by a small studio made up of a few people and is a third-party game made in Roblox, so they are much less prone to copyrights and restrictions, (but this doesn’t mean they’re invincible to them. apparently PF devs got hit by Glock for using their weapons in PF) meanwhile Sledgehammer is a well known, AAA studio and creators of multiple CoD games, so they’re much more prone to restrictions, laws and copyrights. Activision and developers have gotten into some trouble with manufacturers before, so it’s just not worth the risk. it sucks

as an avid pf player, there has been a ton of GAME CHANGING updates in the past year or so, even the scopes can now be compared to mw's (not in terms of graphics but functionality).
I'll tell u one thing, one of these games has a ragdoll fun factor setting and it ain't cod

on phantom forces expect a lot of stolen soudns from games like older cods (mw2, mw3, bo1, bo2, bo3) and battlefields (1, 3, 4 and 5) if you play a lot of those games you may recognise some of the sounds.
not really stolen, shared, they used a sound library that a lot of other famous game companies use to sample from.

The old sounds are taken from those games, but some are modified. The intervention is one big example.

It’s a gas-operated system with a short stroke piston.
It’s an original firearm design, but very similar to the HK433, not the CZ 805 BREN though.

Most games use KeyFrame animations where you can use an animator.

That's far from the truth, phantom forces is far better than anything modern warfare has to offer, the gameplay is way better along with there being 150 primaries and more than 250 with conversions

This isn't a ripoff. Sure the graphics are better on cod, but that's really it. Phantom forces has a huge variety of guns, literally half life movement, insane customizability, and a bunch of new features are getting added and new recoil and so much more
