I’ve been using notepads for writing notes for my electrical engineering lectures. The thing is my A5 blank notepad was bought in France and I cannot find any A5 blank notepads in the Uk, so I wanted to make my own using A4 papers. This tutorial helped me a lot cheers.

You mentioned that PVA glue was not easy to find in craft stores, but it is very easy to find in hardware stores. Many glues that are marketed as "wood glue" or for use to glue wood to wood is actually PVA glue. I tried a little test notepad with wood glue I had lying around, and it turned out beautiful.
(To be exact, the glue I used is called "no more nails" and is labelled as an all-purpose/multi-use construction adhesive for many different kinds of materials. It worked great for my test pad, and I can't wait to try it with a full sized notepad.)
Edit: I should add, some wood glues are tinted yellow. Make sure the one you're getting dries clear or white.

It's ordinary white glue, Elmer's etc. Why didn't she know that? And it's poly vinyl acetate, not poly vinyl adhesive. Man, she's dumb, never looks stuff up before she posts

This is great! I have paper pads I'd like to use but they have sayings or advertising on them that I don't want. I was cutting them off but then I had stacks of loose paper. I thought, wouldn't it be nice if I could figure out how to glue them together again after cutting off what I don't want. I googled it and there you were. Even better, because you sampled different glues. Thanks so much!

Hi! I’m honestly not sure, it was a medium-weight though. It doesn’t matter a ton, but a thicker weight will make the product seem more like a quality product then if you used something thin (like a cereal box). If you know what the back of a sketch pad is like, I like a comparable thickness to that. Hope this helps!
