The tester is for led lights. Not for florescent lamps which need high voltage (>230V) and >2A current. This tester is up to 10mA. Maybe these tubes are led strips and not florescent tubes. You can tell the difference on the power supply where for florescent tubes you will have big chunk transformers_inverter and for led strips you will have many big dc capacitors.
Bought one works great, eliminated ccfls as the problem with this tv flashing several times and turning off, good video here!
