Oh my gosh this so strange but I’m literally in this video! The girl turning around and doing a double take at 4:00 is me 😅 never thought I’d make it in the video though! Talked to Paolo shortly after and he was super super nice to me (and then I had to call my mum and freak out about it ahahah). Been a fan for many years so it was a lovely coincidence 😊 Definitely agree that mid-October is a great time to visit Arashiyama if you’re interested! 皆さん是非行ってみてください😊 パオロさん、親切にしてくださってありがとうございました、楽しかったです!
You somehow always upload when I'm about to sit down and relax which is super convenient lol can't wait to enjoy this dive into Kyoto street food! Thanks for always bringing us along on your travels and experiences.
As always, the food that Paolo finds looks absolutely AMAZING! I'm basically drooling thinking about how tasty it would all be! Wolfie trying the food is also really cute, haha.
My husband and I have been to Japan once and it has been our favorite trip ever. We hope to go again so our twins can experience the country. Your videos make me long to try more of the unique flavors of food Japan had to offer.
I can not eat solid food due an illness, but watching you eat all these delicious Japanese dishes kind of makes my soul a bit less sad !! so looking forward to go to Japan again! although only liquids for me :')
Haha I don't know how i feel about this episode!! You probably just added more crowd to two of my favourite food shops in Arashiyama!! Truly appreciating the pro and cons of influencers!
I'm mostly in Tokyo whenever I'm in Japan but after watching this video, I want to go back to Kyoto now! Thanks for heading out there to film this great video, have a great weekend! :D
Appreciate the updated content! Would love for you to visit all the areas of Tokyo again to talk about places to visit like you did years ago. Things have may of change or not exist anymore so it would be a more updated version
I've been watching food/travel content for ages and this is one of the best videos I've seen. Everything looks unique and incredible, and I'm in love with the minimalist design of that pudding place. You're getting better and better, Paolo and fam!
Always loved these reviews. I pause the video over and over and make notes for future travel plans to these wonderful city’s. Travel is fun but we have to eat and if you do not know where to grab the foods you will enjoy, it can take away large portions of your site seeing trying to find food for a small group of family members. Trying new things is always part of traveling in another country but if it is too extreme for your group it can feel like a waste of money and no one feels like they ate anything. Watching these reviews gives people the ability to plan the meals so that you can try these new foods but you show us in great detail what we can expect and today I realized that you also put the description of the foods in western terms we can clearly understand. Texture like mashed potato’s. Perfect. Also Wolfy is extremely helpful in giving us his reviews as well. Big thumbs up on the rice ball toppings. I’m glad he is included in making some of your videos. And we also appreciate the camera girl Maiko and her input when y’all (southern term) decide to have her help with reviews of more adult foods that Wolfy may not care for.
I live in Hyogo and was planning on going to Arashiyama this month for Momji Viewing so this video came just in time! Thanks 😗👌 Hope to see more stuff from around Kansai!
Thanks for sharing your favorite spots again. Everything looked so delicious and your facial expressions when eating were very fun to watch. I enjoy all your videos. Keep up the good work. Stay safe.
I wish I knew this sooner. I was actually in Arashiyama today. Hiked up all the way to Otagi Nenbutsu-ji. I couldn’t find anything that would be anything different than what Kyoto city already has. I might have to hit these shops up next week. I never got to explore the rest of Arishayama. Thanks for sharing this.
Ill probably will never visit places like this, but its nice just to watch the video and see the the type of food they have around the world 😄 Nice video Paolo!
Great video Paolo! I'll definitely have to try out that Gelato shop next time i'm in Kyoto. Although it's very touristy, Arashiyama is one of my favorite places in all of Japan!
Arashiyama is a new family favorite place to go on vacations to Kyoto! What we did was a great day trip idea. Take the train to Kameoka, and after a short walk ge tto the small port for the Hozugawa River Boat Ride. A very fun time and you see so many beautiful sights in the spring. I went in the winter which, while a lot more brown, was still chill and a fun time. Also the boat was mostly empty, so the kind boat paddlers (the younger guys of which were super funny and energetic) let me try rowing the boat! Was a great time and it drops you right at Arashiyama to go enjoy steeet food and the Bamboo Forest.
Omg I ate at Fukushichi and when I saw this video I literally said “that one pudding place better be on there.” This is the first time I’ve ate at a place in Paolo’s videos :))
Hey Paolo, big fan. been consuming content for quite a while and have enjoyed your vids, thank you! A buddy of mine is going to kyoto next week and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for restaurants? I'm going to recommend the street food items you've shown here for sure.
We have watched your videos for a few years now, and we (my family) realy love your channel, and we are very happy about you selling a hot sauce and we wish you all success. Now to the hard part for us, but we all also feel that its too much when the sauce and the shirt about pops up in the videos, almost all the time, and we miss the day in life videos. Please Paolo, more of those videos🙏👏We wish you and your amazing family great success and well being and much love ❤️
I've been to Kyoto twice, as a European even November time seemed hot, but I'd probably die in the summer. Good time for tourism as it's a lot less busy and you can really enjoy the scenery.
i was there this spring during cherry blossom season! while i didnt eat ant any of them places, i do see many places that i was walking around! i miss japan and cant wait to go back some day!
Damn missed you by a month! But finally so good to actually recognise locations through experience. Your Kyoto videos lead to some very delicious dinners! Thanks mate :)
Love ya videos mate... All the way from Australia..... Would love to see you visit some of those street cart vendors for some noodle dishes, takoyaki etc.
I have always thought Japan would be very different and extremely complicated for people around the world, therefore would not attract them to visit here. Now I am finding myself I was wrong. I am seeing people from America, Europe, Asia and all over the world which is quite amazing to me. I quess all Japanese wishes visitors here to have wonderful time and willing to do even small things for you guys whenever given the opportunites. Welcome to Japan and have a wonderful time.
I'm blown away by how cheap everything is! To get anything close to this in the USA it would be double the price at a minimum. _sigh_ I would love to visit Japan and go on a food tour....

Great video as always! Going back there for the nth time for Thanksgiving but this will be the first that we're arriving on an early flight, like 5am! I thought that might be something you can make a video on...What to do on an early arrival before check-in time. No one has done one yet!

Yomogi is also known as mugwort. Its said to have healthy properties. I've had Korean mugwort tea (ssuk) before and I enjoyed that. I can just imagine it tasting awesome in a dango too 😍

that was amazing, thanks for sharing hahahh
I think this is the first time seeing Paolo speak Japanese in real time... sounds very fluent. Should show more of this!
