    It hurts me that she felt this way and how “ fans” would ignore her and act like she doesn’t exist, and just because she has certain privileges and things like money and a platform doesn’t exclude her from facing these kinds of problems because at end of the day her feelings and experiences are valid. Leigh-Anne is my girl and I’m so proud of her for speaking up about this

If you watch the doc you will see her talk in length about the privilege she has due to colourism - She even mentions it in this clip. @SA-ft4gu 3 года назад +7

      Jesy wouldn't know much about it as she has never experienced it so it better not to talk about something you don't know about. Also jesy made a documentary about her trolling not leigh's so why would she talk about leigh Anne's frolling when she made a documentary about her trolling. And another thing, sometimes when you in depression you can't see anyone's pain, all you can see is yourself. It doesn't mean Jesy didn't really talk about leigh's trolling it doesn't mean she didn't care

    • @annabelle2538
      @annabelle2538 3 года назад +21

      it’s funny because jesy has changed her self to look like a woman of colour (lip fillers, excessive tanning, cultural appropriation hairstyles, filming her white friends saying the n word and posting it) but she wouldn’t even ask leigh anne about the racism she faced for actually having those features !! if leigh anne had made as big as a fuss as jesy did when she got a few comments calling her chubby then she would’ve been ‘too opinionated’ or ‘too loud’ or ‘too dramatic’

    • @gtfo3609
      @gtfo3609 3 года назад +8

      @Allie Foster Something like she never talked to Leigh about the racism although she knew Leigh struggled but she “dealt with it”? But yeah like the comment above me said, she was excessively tanning herself and she uploaded a video where her friend said the n word. So many mixers have been upset and she’s blocking everyone who’s calling her out, she blocked me too. And also many mixers stopped supporting her

    Why are people so keen on the fact that she is mixed? People still see mixed people as black as long as they're not white passing, they go through SOME of the same shit as darker skinned people with afro centric features and even though there's a distinction in their struggles granted the world is more brutal with darker skin they still have a right to talk about their struggles. It's stupid to discredit her experience because "she's not fully black". She still experienced the blatant racism that black girls(as wide as that spectrum is) experience.

    You are aware that Black people have been an integral part of the pop music for at least 60 years, right? On September 29, 1958, Tommy Edwards became the first black artist to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with “It’s All In The Game". (I am not going to count George Washington Johnson who became the first African-American to make commercial records in 1890.) During the past several decades, there have been countless Black/African-American musicians who have reaped huge success in pop music. So what's the point here? Why do you think you are somehow special just because you are a Black person in pop music?

    She said that she only experienced racism once in primary and then after that she only thinks she might have experienced it because she wasn’t the favourite amongst fans. However she did say that when she went to some other predominantly Black Country she was the favourite. So does that make all those black fans racists against whites because they only wanted to see her. People have preferences and it’s no bad thing. I haven’t seen much racism against black people to be fair but racism against Indian/ Pakistani is everywhere. I hear people casually dropping the p word. Mimicking accents and calling someone shady just because of their race. If she’s in the position that she can only wonder if people are being racist towards her she’s in a better position than some.
