Those in Northrend were not connected to the Void, they had become detached. These have allied themselves with Xalatath and now have greater powers. And it would be good if you played it before complaining, as it would definitely explain a lot. Here you can only see a section

The scourge had to infiltrate it through one of their own turncoat, the Legion had to FIND it first and the damn spiders just show up? I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Odds are they'll probably try to make this Alleria's fault. Xal was probably tracking her through the void and used her as a beacon to bring the invasion force. Disappointing all the same.

Agreed. There's no weight to the current pre-patch. It's just an in-game method for gearing and levelling, not a real story. I remember the WotLK pre-patch, the Scourge Invasion. It was full PvP, with characters being rezzed to fight for the Scourge temporarily. Some players formed groups to defend cities while others invaded. It was a hell of a lot of fun, but it was also scary regarding the story. Something bad was approaching. "Oh shit... company's coming."

I keep seeing everyone saying that we have 2 more Dalarans. No, that's the same one they pulled out of the ground and made fly. It's just in different times. By theory, time is linear in Azeroth, we're just the ones moving around, if it was a reality (and not expansions), we could go to Northrend and Dalaran wouldn't be there anymore (kinda like that big hole in the ground). There was one Dalaran, it just kept getting moved around. Now they have to rebuild it.

Drenden was a archmage and one of The Six. He appeared mainly in the books but was also mentioned in the game. He went missing after an attack by Deathwing. And reappeared in Dalaran a few weeks ago (During the Harbinger questline, you could see him on a couch in Dalaran just before you reached Khadgar)

Nope, you get a cinematic when Khadgar destroys the Dark Portal in Warlords of Draenor... and that's after a preceding one where he destroys a dam with a triple Arcane/Fire/Frost combo.
Archmage is nothing more than the Kirin Tor equivalent of a Ph.D degree. And Dalaran got destroyed in WC3 as well, although I think this time, it's more permanent.
She used a floating rift to redirect the spell impact to someplace random in the Dark Beyond... When did Khadgar become so... Dumb? He could've done so much better. Remember! If she had the means, he'd have been dead long before the impact.

Blizzard had the perfect example how to design a new model for Alleria if they wanted in StarCraft when Artanis killed Zeratul and because he was controlled by Amon to do so, he took the blade of Zeratul and when he united the protoss it was clearly shown that the model of Artanis, which was blue because he was a high templar, now he added in the other hand the blade of Zeratul which was green because he was a dark templar and Artanis wielded both in the end, high templar powers and void dark templar ones, blue and green. Instead of this weak model, with a stereotype from our own world of some people, Blizzard should have made Alleria something like that, wearing her green garb and attach a void type of color and clothes to signify wielding both her histories... But no, we got ... this!

Its a call back to Legion in the cutscene where Khadgar blasts a dreadlord out of window in Karazhan. It's a nice little detail many new wow players do not get.
Xal is weak. She knows. No one else does. She is using everyone's strength for her own goals. Khadgar blasted a high ranking dreadlord out of existence with the charm. Xal should be dead. She's not. She used one of her portals to redirect the spell. Prolly further damage to Dalaran. She's weak. But... She's smarter than all of them combined.

Just like going into any old area, you'll still be able to go back to both Dalarans, but that's non-canon game play.
It's like logging off after reruns of shadowlands raids and dealing with Alleria's void stuff to go level your 10th blood elf in Ghostlands. Then, you stroll up to old Undercity and give Slyvanas Alleria's necklace. Time is meaningless unless its Classic era.

It's still the same city and has been rebuilt many times, except in Legion as it still had some damaged areas.

That scene where Khadgar shoots Xal was straight out of Star Wars when Kylo tries to shoot the image of Luke. It's all an illusion. You shot a kamehameha at a mirror image bro.
Its a call back to Legion in the cutscene where Khadgar blasts a dreadlord out of window in Karazhan. It's a nice little detail many new wow players do not get.
