Hi Michael, This was caused by me rushing for camera 🤣 I hook all maggots via the thinner end these days. This video was filmed on the Thurne. Regards, Steve.
Hi Thomas, To attach the float you need 4 pieces of pole float silicone, they pretty much attach in the same way as a normal pole float. 3 pieces of silicone on the stem and 1 additional piece of silicone on the small spike at the top of the float. Regards, Steve.
Fished a 9g flat this weekend in 2m of water and had an interesting experiance, whilst holding the float with the bristle straight up my float was slowly rising up and sinking back down, do you maybe have an explanation for this behaviour, I dont think they were bite as I tried striking on some of the movements with no hookups, the hookups came from more energetic float movements.
Hi Andrew, this may be happening when you move your pole tip without realising... If your float is over shotted a very small movement will cause the float to dip under if you move slightly down stream, the same applies for pulling slightly upstream, your float will rise slightly. I hope that makes sense. Regards, Steve.
Hi Steven Trying to get a number for you, been to my local Angling directs, can't help me. I'm after some coaching on the pole. To take me to the next level. Many thanks ks Mark. Your blogs are very helpful
Hi Mark, If you need help with anything you can message me via social... More than happy to help when I can @stephencroweFTWE on instagram. Regards, Steve.
If you use a long rod and fish directly off the rod tip, these floats will work. Flat Floats are not designed for casting and trotting downstream, they have to be controlled from directly behind the float. Regards, Steve.
Shot Scope would be fantastic! But l watched this and thought l can do this just forget them woods and engage the brain ? Like OMP It’s not rocket science the woods are full of big hitters ! 🤣🤣
These videos are produced to help other anglers. Recurring questions on all my videos are based around tackle and bait, many people like to see exactly what’s being used. At no point do I say you have to use this groundbait, I purely highlight what I used for those who are interested. It’s a shame you lost interest over a bag of groundbait, maybe the rest of the video would have been interesting. Regards Steve.

Any micro swivel will do the job, the swivels I use are these 👉 www.anglingdirect.co.uk/matrix-barrel-swivels in size 18. Regards, Steve.
Hi. very instructional, but how do you attach it to your line...

Can these be used with a float rod instead of a pole

I'm glad you got to the most important part early on, the product packshot for your sponsor's Dynamite baits at 0.56, after which I lost interest.
