The fact that giant squids are no longer considered a myth. Makes the first story all the more compelling and realistic
And there's a cryptid called the Lasca in the Bahamas which is said to be a man eating octopus
The scariest part of the first story wasn't the creature it was the description of the water pressure killing the girl.
Ikr, the way i pictured it was so surreal and that is what makes it terrifying for me. That first story really struck me somehow lol
@@twangyorpheus7891 yes also the fact that high levels of pressure being deadly is very much a real thing. That would be a terrifying way to die.
Water is a bitch lol
@@allenwarburton8627 Try calling water a bitch when you have a tsunami coming at you.
@@Donika691 lol good point
Apparently, death by depth crush on a submarine is a pretty good way to go, because at anything close to even old-timey WWI or WWII sub test depths (to say nothing of modern ones), the water pressure is so high that when the hull cracks, the water rushes in and tears to pieces anyone on board faster than a human nervous system can transmit sensory info to the brain. In other words, you're dead before you have time to feel anything. I suppose that's somewhat morbid, but at least it's a little good news in an otherwise pretty terrifying way to die.
Yeah, but how am I supposed to become a disgruntled ghost 👻 if I don't have the time to curse the oceans beforehand?
Damn though, that last one with the look of disappointment that he saw on his mothers face...got me in the gut....outta left field. Good twist there....
Yeah, that was a great ending. Got me good!
A “manned drone”? Isn’t that a “submersible?” Drones aren’t “manned.”
technology as described by someone who has only seen it in movies. No part of underwater vehicles is made of glass either , and they are tethered, they wouldn't go "out of range"
In the last story, considering that he was a child with almost no knowledge about the world, the so called monster was probably a sea lion... The description fits when described by a child
Sounds likely. Why do you think the mom looked disappointed when he returned? Hoped he'd get lost forever?
Seals maybe, but sea lions won’t go near anywhere that cold
@@crystl20 wonder if it was a leopard seal
@@alishawhite4540 leopard, hubbard, or gray.
@@Ela.elizabeth No, I personally think she used her son as BAIT.
Ah yes. "There is Something Living" stories. Another reason why I'm glad to be an indoors kind of person.
XD
The Author of the first story referring to a manned vessel as a drone completeley obliterated my suspension of disbelief
the last one was actually freaky. being in northern Canada that was eerily similar
Oh shut up ! Just shut up.
@@billyrayvalentine8471 why are you up here to lol? Just keep pets you know when things are coming at least lol.
@@Blondie306BoardBabe such a random hostile response to you :D 😀
I think I misunderstood something at the end of the last story---was she "disappointed" because he got into trouble and nearly died or because he survived and made it back and she's still stuck with him???
I feel like it's meant to be disappointment that he's still alive
@@TheMisanthropist69 I think you're right...she was dragging him around like an old suitcase, caring nothing for his education or enrichment in any way....
Just saying, I definitely asked for underwater monster story’s a few months ago. Thank you so much! Listening to this while building a lagoon in the new Jurassic world game!
You’re a great narrator. Your voice suits these stories so well.
IKR I just love his voice and accent.
In the first story they kept using the word "drone," which by it's very name should be unmanned. It makes no sense that she was actually inside the machine.
Yes and there would also be no glass just cameras showing the outside of the sub and it would also be tethered to the lab witch probably should have been on a ship witch I don’t think it was so sadly I believe that the first story is fake
I'm 99% sure the second creature was a Qallupilluk! I am not Inuit but for some reason my Mom had a story book about Qallupilluk to scare me away from the lake ice lol
Looks like you’re right. Good call!
The book would have probably been A Promise is A Promise! It’s by Robert Munsch also 100% a Qallupilluk
I recently started watching this channel, nice narration
I'm glad you're making different kinds of videos cause I used to go to your channel for the wendigo stories
I’ve never liked sea creature stories as much as others but these were awesome and the narration of them incredible!!
“Maybe because we were both alone” I feel your pain, my friend
The mother in the second story was the scariest monster.
Pretty obvious the Addy girl loved the reader, but they never realized it
Been waiting for this one👌🏻
Love your videos man keep up the great work.
“Drones” are unmanned… or operated remotely. It took mea little while to figure out she was actually in a submersible.
Finally! I’ve been waiting for a new one to listen to for weeks!
I love waiting a gime to then have a few hours of your voice at once, love your narration, keep it up
the second story. it's like the mom took the son with her, so she has a bait. while it was nice to listen, the storyteller in me just screamed "so many tropes, I just wanna slap the author with it."
I love this! The wendigo ones are some of my favorites! Keep up the great narrations!
Evelyn, wendigo stories are my favorite! I totally believe they are real too. I live in an area that is known for wendigo sightings. Also, my husband John is Seneca Indian (I'm not being politically incorrect. what he has explained to me, is that they refer to their own kind as Indian, but I should call him American Indian. IDK anyways he is Seneca, most specifically Bear Clan. (Bear clan is the strongest of all the Seneca clans). Anyways their religion is called longhouse and his mom used to teach Seneca language and culture for years. They are very reserved when speaking of wendigos or these little gnome people that have been seen on a burial hill for hundreds of years. On the rez, they have the coolest library where there sits an entire section of hand written books that are up to about 300 to 400 years! But these books are literally one of a kind, so although they can be read, they can't be taken out. I'm thinking about going back and specifically looking for accounts of ( whendaygoes) that's how they pronounce it. Anyways I can take pics of the pages. Just wanted to share this with you cuz you love wendigo stories as much as me. God bless you and happy Hanukkah, merry Christmas 🎄, and happy Kwanzaa! If you would like, I really will research this. More specifically, I want to find out if there exists written accounts of the sightings. I wish I could recall the name for those little gnome people. My husband step father actually saw them on the hill I referenced. But Mr. Silver heels passed away only a couple years ago. Seneca tribe is so special because preservation of their language has occurred and the language is still taught.
@@J_Honor_ That is incredibly interesting! Merry Christmas/ Happy Hanukkah/Happy Kwanza to you and your family! I’m a Christian American but not a Native American just a boring American child lol. Although if your family ever could maybe post about it on RUclips here! I’d love to learn more about the little gnomes! I’m sorry for your loss as well! The tribe sounds very interesting! Thank you for sharing! ❤️❤️
@@evelyn2778 never think of yourself as boring. We are living in the end"of our age" shit is crazy and everyone here in America is a descendant of somewhere else originally except the natives. Also, being so blessed to be a Christian is amazing and there's so much more to it than the church teaches. But yeah I wish he was still alive but John's ma knows
@@J_Honor_ It is crazy, although I am very young still, 13 for that matter but I do agree the world is quite crazy. I had the COVID virus and it just had a huge effect on my parents, luckily we are all better! Being a Christian is amazing, I usually refer to myself as boring because I tend to like a lot of really old things and history which my family is not very into. My family is very loud and I am very calm and silent. Your husband sounds very nice and your family does too. I’d love to learn more about the little gnomes! Merry Christmas! :D ❤️
What a terrible mom lol
Isn't the idea of a drone that it's unmanned? I thought that was one of the key features 🤷🏻♂️
ah creepy sea creatures my favorite right along wendigos and skinwalkers!
Great narration! Love ocean stories, reminds me of lovecraft
Thank you.
Such visual stories. I could see every word.
I do not think it is a drone if it has a pilot.
Wait. If it’s a drone, that implies that is is remotely controlled. Otherwise it is just a submarine.
I would challenge the author of that first story to rewrite it. The author failed at delivering suspense because the story was written from the wrong perspective. In the horror genre, you do not make a character that nice, that smart, that overly loved, and not make them the main character without eliminating suspense. Why? Because this is a horror story, you are blatantly telling us this person is going to die. No matter where she goes in the story, she will die. We all knew that after her introduction. The second issue is, by being all these things, she becomes the most interesting character in the story. Why am I following Loser MiCbronze Medal? Imagine that entire story, from the beginning, from her perspective. A kid in her class approaches her with a book, how it captivates her, how he captivates her as well. Why she holds herself back from so many achievements for Loser MiCbronze Medal? Her reasoning for leaving on her own? Her final thoughts, and the sound of her friend's voice echoing through her ears right before she died... BUT NAH, we got MiCbronze Medal!
Jack-a-noorrrreeee, Jack-a-noorrrreeee, Jack-a-noorrrreeee.....dum, dum.
For sanity sake I'm really hoping that the first story is fake even though the two type of aggressive squids are giant, colossal and Humboldt squid it still sounds like we’re missing a squid that fits that description
Hey would you consider placing timestamps in the description? Sometimes i can't listen to the full video at one time. Thanks!
I keep meaning to do that, sorry! I’ll try better
You are awesome my guy. I love your narration. you do an awesome job at it
Thank you!
Terrifying
Thanks for the upload, loved the stories. Actually, I wanted to say that wendigo stories are the ones I like the least, though I still listen to them on occasion
Love this!!
Love your narrations.
what the hell is this "movie-like" structured narration?
headless chicken running around is what the writing at the beginning feels like.... XD
Why was the mother disappointed in the last story?
I think she was using her son as bait.
Thank you. Love your accent. Where is it from may I ask?
It is English, region of London.
Great video

Love your narration and videos, but can you return to setting one image per story rather than showing multiple fading pictures, it felt more calm that way.
Great!
So basically the first story is about a big-ass squid
Not a squid stupid. An octopus ! ! ! GOD ! So stupid !
@@billyrayvalentine8471 Stop being so rude.
Hey could you do a video for Christmas please like a skin walker or something of that sort tyyyyy and I love the videos keep it up I’ve been watching for a few months now
I just released a Christmas ghost story!
🇵🇬
A drone is an unmanned vehicle.
You do not put a person in a drone.
I can’t like the story because of that one idiotic choice of words.
