excellent video! I had watched several others on pump removal and yours was the best by far. You carefully showed important parts in detail. There was no annoying music or unrelated banter. Five stars!!
I give this excellent video 5 stars. It was explained in perfect slow detail. I'm going to remember this video when I replace my leaky water pump. Most videos are annoying with long introductions and annoying advertisements in the middle of the video.

0:50 When he advises you to use caution at certain parts of repair, although not related to anything on ApplianceVideo, it reminds me of when I made up my own advice for TV shows. Like, imagine your parents didn't advise you about something, and in that case, you would see one or two of these icons at a time at a certain scene on that TV show. It has the same icons, sharp edges, electrical dangers, (gas/) fire hazards, lifting hazards, water damage, and delicate components. It's more than 6 though, because in some cases, germy areas, high heights, poisonous chemicals, hard objects, cold areas, powerful weapons, suffocation, and hot or slippery surfaces.
I just wanted to drop a note, for anyone that's interested, that I just changed the pump motor in less than 20 minutes without removing the cabinet. Do everything this great video advises. I tipped the machine back and worked from underneath. There is enough room between the cabinet to remove the part and install the new one. Side note: Have good lighting to be sure you align the shaft to fit the new part properly. I also didn't need to remove the brackets that snap on and hold it in place (just had to lift the upper one out of the way as I put it on, then snapped it in place.) I have worked on this machine before, due to a leaking problem on a crack on the outer tub leaking (fixed with flex seal tape).
Thank youuuu!!! I had an extra washing machine not working... with this i followed as indicated.. now my washer is working no more yard hose fill up lol... i did both in 20 min with a kenmore and admiral... had different bolts on panel removal but very very easy. Easy pccc saved $$$$

@@Appliancevideo She did not say this video helped her. In fact, if you interpret the straight forward comment correctly, you will see she is saying your way is WAY too involved. My gosh why the hell would you remove all that other stuff to access the pump at the bottom when you can just tilt it over? Sheesh. No wonder service calls are so expensive and take so long if this is the overly involved method you teach.

The top hose, what does the other end connect to? The bottom of the drum! Thanks for the step by step video! & if you are lucky, when you grip the control panel, it will come unhooked, & spin around. The switch molex connector may not release or come apart that easy. While you have the water hoses disconnected from the back, check the small thimble size screens for debris. They can be pulled out with a slight, gentle twisting & pulling. Reinstall or replace if needed. Good idea to use some white or gray plumbers tape on the hose connections, too. While you have the cabinet removed, inspect the hoses for cracks, holes, etc, for other possible leak spots. Now, at home repair folks. This video is great if there arent other problems. Yah listening appliance video folks?! When i got the molex lid switch unplugged, one of the male pins had signs of slight plastic cover (a small tubular cover for the electrical pins) melting & breaking. Yep, thats right. Thats why it was hard to unplug. So either the panel side wires have to replaced, as well as the switch assembly, as there might be internal damage, so to be safe, replace it. Or, the male - black 3 pin molex can be replaced. & the switch. This happened to me. Please post. Thank you also, do you have a video that shows how to remove the plastic drum/barrel, so it can be cleaned? I have a Whirlpool Estate washer, that leaked water (i didnt see where it leaked from) so, am watching several how to vids.
