Thank you so much! This is actually the first time I hear a story that's similar to mine. I actually cried a little, because it makes me feel less alone.
O wow! I always felt like I was the only one that a story like this. I'm so happy to find that there are others just like me, all around the world ❤️. Thank you!
Awesome video. Fellow adult ticcer in the US here. I have several co-morbids (OCD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, sensory issues, intrusive thoughts, etc.). Always great to meet others that understand. Sending positive vibes and love to you. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!! Your story is eerily similar to my own. From the music industry, to the business job, to the commute, the stressors, the seizures, the subsequent worstening of my tourettes. I now have very severe TS with almost all possible tic types. 💓 I love this video. It's a great message for non tourettes sufferers too. Thank you.
O wow that is so interesting! Sorry to hear you have to deal with that though! That's also the reason I decided to tell my story. I often feel like I'm alone in my personal experience. But to find out that you're not the only one can be so powerful. So thank you for your comment!
Great video, I've had Tourettes for over 40 yrs and it can still catch me out! It's a sneaky bugger but accepting it is a huge step in dealing with it and anyone newly diagnosed the best advice I can give you is accept it the best you can and things will get easier.
That's so true! Sure there are coping strategies, but the main thing is to learn that you're not always in control. But that it's not your failure when it happens :)
Hi from the Jersey Shore in the USA your video was great I’m 57 and have a mild case of Tourette’s and was diagnosed back in the 90s currently on no medication but I smoke THC and it helps tremendously with a little depression and anxiety look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Your story sounds a lot like mine! 2 Aprils ago I had a major tic episode and like you, looking back I realized I had tics all along. I was diagnosed this past February at age 48.
Powerful story for sure, i'm glad things got better for you. Made me realize I probably have quite a few misunderstandings about tourettes so I hope you do post more to clear up stigmas and what not because it's definitely good to have a better understanding of things.
hey, great video thank you for sharing.. i’m writing this because i have a 6 year old daughter and i remember ever since she was around 3 she started clearing her throat, she’s 6 now and her tics are progressing, head to shoulder movement , coughing, clears her throat, squints her face. i cannot help but be so worried and anxious for her, i’m mostly worried about school and how people will treat her, i know i sound selfish and may sound like a terrible parent but i truly just want her to have a joyful life without people thinking she’s weird or bully her... how was your school experience? did you get bullied?
Hi! Thank you for your comment! I can imagine being worried for your child. I myself wasn't really bullied, but i also really didn't care that much i guess. . Wish I could help you out more, but i know there are some great Tourette's facebook groups, for parents too, that have loads of people that are going through the exact same thing. All i know is that, yes kids are mean, but at the same time, kids are resilient. And kids with Tourette's do often build up the strength to deal with that stuff. I also recommend looking up Tourette's meetups. Being around other kids just like you can be such a confidence boost!
