They could add the Olmecs. Or the Toltecs. The Toltecs made the Pyramid of the Sun and Moon. One of the most important archeological structures of Mexico. Massive thing too. They were extinct 1500 years before the Aztecs.
So Toltecs lived in early Medieval Ages, they should be added to the original AOE II, anyway Olmecs, early Maya, Chavin/Moche could be added to this game, the other thing is that there are no evidence of their contacts with ancient civilizations of Asia, Europe and Africa, unlike the 16th century A.D.

@Γνώστης των γατών And there is no need for contact. Mayans didn't even contact the Aztecs on the AoE2 period. And the skirmishes they had with the Spanish were so minor that it is often just a footnote.
@Γνώστης των γατών So apparently, both Cuicuilcans and Toltecs were in the same period, and Teotihuacan was made around the first century a.c. it fits the theme of AoE1 then. Both fought for power and were rivals. Up until Cuicuilco was burned by an eruption of a volcano.

New tech and unit additions: New upgrade for the Elephant Archer line available to several civilizations, and new Technology at the Market " Mathematics" that should improve trade Carts and or the resource interchange there. New architecture style for the India civlizations
2: Ancient Africa that should include: Aksum, Kush, Saba and Nok. New unit Additions: improvement for the Chariot archer available to some civilizations, Introduction of a thid line of Warships and an overhaul of the sea gameplay ( Sea gameplay in AOE I in its current form reduces on which player has more Trirremes basically). the new civilizations should use the Egyptian architecture style , Assyrians and Hittites should get the Mesopotamian Architechture Style from here on
3 ancient west Europe that Should include: Gauls, Iceni, Picts and Iberians. New unit Aditions: Bronze age upgrades for the Axemen, Scout, and bowman. available to some civilizations.
4 Return of the Middle East that Should Include: Hebrews, Sea People, Nabateans and Elam. New additions: New temple technology " sacred scriptures" that should improve Priests in some form available to some civilizations, New Bronze Age upgrade for the Slinger and new unit at siege Workshop the Ram
5 Ancient Central Asia and the Steppes: Scythians, Xiongnu, Parthians and Armenians. At this point maybe there is no need for any major addition to the general tech tree
6 Ancient Mesoamerica: Olmecs, Maya, Zapotecs and Teotihuacan. New additions, since these should lack cavalry and cavalry archers they should have something like the " eagle Warriors" at the Academy, Barracks or Archery range that helps to compensate for that in some way. American civilizations also should have different unit skins for their military units and priests, from Bronze age onwards. I am personally reluctant to Add american civs to AOE I because those are completely disconected from the rest, but many people still request them in forums here and there so who knows if devs would ever Add them, at Least in AOE II there is the argument of the Spanish conquest of the Americas in the early 16th Century so I personally see them more viable to add these in AOE II.
7 Ancient Andes: Norte Chico, Mochicas, Nazca. Same issues with ancient Mesoamerica.
As you see there is no need for Unique units or unique technologies even when proposing new DLC content for AOE I, perhaps some new additions here and there that should keep the spirit of the game while making it more interesting to play. What do you thik about these ideas for DLC?
@@papermaniac fantastic ideas i like that you made the axeman more useable i always feel a bit weary of that 100 food gone into that upgrade that i wont be using much a lot of your ideas could improve gameplay in water yeah aoe1 isnt really impressive on water i think the best water warfare i saw in AOE series is the AOM one
@@pandaprewmaster325 what do You think about My civilizations proposals? Is still some ancient civilizations left?
@@papermaniac i dont think we must over add the civs for now the ones you said are pretty decent and might take a good portion of time for players to perfect thier playstyle
All those elephant civilizations have soft themes, but man, once u see the first ones, u run.
I always have hard time against elephant civilizations they so hard to kill
@@elenafechete528 yes, the only way to stop them is to have a lot of monks :)
@@josegatica6599 eeee xd i know what you mean
Greeks song is so sad.
Hi could you please do the return of Rome main menu music. It’s so good
Μακεδονία 🇬🇷
Are they going to speak the same language as Aoe1?
Yes
Roman thème for me
So why are there no northern peoples?
Too bad they didn't added some new set of civs like the Gallic, Germanic and Brittanic tribes
Not as cool
They should add them, because it would be a great idea.
its age of empires not ages of barbarian tribes
@@tritan130 I'm agree with you, but it could be a good Dlc.
I know zero about most of these.
bro egyptians are yellow
I honestly feel that, besides the Roman theme, all of these are pretty disappointing, especially the Yamato theme. It sounds like the beginning of some emo rock song from the early 2000s.
Hittites and Persians as well as Assyrians, Carthaginians, Egyptians and Phoenicians are also considered to be up there. Some of them are meh tho.
Tone deaf.
Yamato sounds like the prologue to some shoegaze or post-grunge album. It reminds me of the intro to "This Time It's Different" by Evan's Blue.
Copy and paste
Iron age Epigytian look like post-modern.
