- 249 days of van life: we arrived in Izmir and parked in the Bostanli district with other Turkish van lifers. Accompany Petra to her Turkish lessons and experience the colorful and lively Bostanli Pazar weekly market with us, far away from any tourism.
In Izmir, passenger ferries are part of local public transport, as is the case in Hamburg. We like to take advantage of that. Join us on a boat trip to the other side of Izmir to the clock tower in the Konak district and the Alsancak nightlife district.
At the weekend we leave Izmir towards Balçova, a local recreation area just outside the city. Hike with us through the green hills to enjoy the view of the Aegean Bay.
We are Petra and Christoph and we are on the road for a year with our Pössl 2Win R van. Our journey takes us east across the Balkans, through the Caucasus and the Central Asian states Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan along the Silk Road. Every Sunday we report from our Van Life.

Wir hatten über AllTerrain auch nachgedacht, dann aber bei all den Kosten in der Vorbereitung davon abgesehen und sind mit unseren Standard-Allwetter-Conti-Reifen gefahren. Das Profil hat für uns und die Orte, die wir befahren wollten, auch total ausgereicht.
Einzig etwas mehr Bodenfreiheit wäre manchmal gut gewesen. Damit werden wir uns nach der Reise beschäftigen. Ob dann AllTerrain noch mal ins Speil kommt oder eher andere Mittel der Höherlegung, schauen wir mal.

Wir werden Michelin Crossclimate für Camping nutzen. Das würde reichen. AT würden auch eine Abnahme und Zulassung beim Tüv benötigen. Das ist zu viel Stress.
