People have always been easy to offend its sad truth its just that the internet has made it easier for them to connect with others and easer to get there voice out lets not forget all the people whining about how videogames were too violent. Or how people reacted to people not being straight Or mixed race couples. Or whining about kids getting healthy meals in school and I'm not talking about whining to get them into schools but people honestly getting passed and harrasing a guy who tried to get school children to eat healthier because parents were offended by the action heck one of the women was complaining on TV while giving her baby a bottle with pop in it.
Actually, not very long ago at all. These people knew what they were getting into and voluntarily chose to be there. If you have seen the DVD or the long trailer to it, one of the Asian countries, I believe it was Malaysia, wouldn't let Jeff use Achmed the Dead Terrorist in his show, but Jeff, being the consumate professional that he is, offered to tone it down a little... they still said no and threatened Jeff. In order to not spoil what he did, I won't give it away, but he did sneak the character into the show, ad-libbed his bits, and made everyone happy enough that he is still alive and performing today. This is a long way of saying that some people have a better sense of humor than others and, in the right environment, sometimes you can even persuade the other people that humor is a good thing because happy people are less violent and confrontational than unhappy people 100% of the time, giving you a much easier path to dictating their existence in other ways later. 😉
I love how people in other countries have names that Bubba J can’t pronounce but can make us laugh trying to. “Hey, Lådënyèæøü, is there an American version of that name? Like Ralph?”
