Hi ! Can't find the answer online so may be you can help, your help would be awesome... For an advanced-expert skier today on M-PRO 85 (no metal), pleased with it but "overskiing" it and annoyed with the front rocker chattering at high speed, lack of metal and needing a bit more width, would you say this Ranger is worth the upgrade ? I read a lot that it is not for performance, it is easy... but to which extend ? is this fully an intermediate only and limiting ski or does an advanced or expert skier can still charge on it ? for ex, is this a world of difference on groomers with a maverick 88ti or just "not as perfect/great" ? I like going fast on groomers, but with a playful approach, carving quite fast but fun carving not like a pro, going 90kmh not 120kmh, and transitioning a lot with off piste, powder, small jumps. Sometimes most of the day, or fully small powder some days. Need a stable versatility with quite high performance ceiling but not a specialized or low tolerance ski. PS : I know they are true chargers like Brahma and stuff, but the Ranger seems more versitale and playful for my needs, even in comparison with the maverick. And m-pro 90 even with metal has the same front rocker chattering thing it seems... Thanks a lot in advance ! 🙏
166CM... why so short? i would be around 175-180.. i would factor in your hike.. in my past 2 seasons the only hike that i have done was on my last run.. it took a lot of my energy and i was done after.. i was fortunate enough that the run was so nice i probably could have taken any skis down it and they would have been amazing.. i was doing the long GS turns which did not take much energy.. granted on the bottom of the run was some bumps and trees which i pretty much just slid down and traversed.. there is no shame in taking the easy way out sometimes;)
Just what they had available at the shop that day! haha, plus the lifts were closed and wanted to get another review out there, but I'm pretty familiar with them, and honestly I feel like I can get a quick feel for what skis feel like If I'm really thoughtful with my skiing, so it was a long run, but some nice variety in terrain to get a feel for everything.
PLEASE I need to know more about the holes in the old Fischer race skis!?
I used to know people who put on ductape so they wouldn't get sprayed

Try Black Crows Captis
I'll see if I can get my hands on a pair, thanks for the recommendation!
