Love the transparency! And I'm SO EXCITED about the Black Crows content coming up! I'm really happy for you in getting the opportunity to try so many skis and convey the findings to us. Blessings, friend.
Wondering what is your thought on this versus the elan ripstick 96? The two seems quite similar with elan being lighter. I am an east coast advanced skier wanting to build my skills into next level, lean toward all terrain instead of groomer only, so which would you recommend?
I think Rustler 9 is would be nice to test! I’ve skied rustler 9 couple of years ago and they were super nice, but I heard they changed the tail to be more playful. So they shout even more nicer.
This is also on my list to test in Verbier in January, assuming we get some fresh snow where this width makes sense. Looking to compare them to the QST 98s I used last season.
I was planing to get these for East Coast, but hearing very good things about the new design 2024 Rustler 9 now 96 under foot. I don't do trees and maybe don't need the playful Ranger 96 but have to demo them I guess. I am 5'10" at 190 24 Rustler 9 - 131.5/96/121 at 174 cm length Ranger 96 - 128/96/119 mm at 173 cm length Ranger 90 sounds better for East, but I just don't want to get bogged down with crud conditions. Which is why I want to leave 80s and go upto 90s that can also carve. To be honest, we want to hear a lot more from you on many more brands. Your comparision makes the unknown stands out and becomes a decision maker for deciding on. Thanks.
Thanks so much! I really liked the K2 Mindbender and Volkl Mantra for crud cutters, might be worth looking at. I am trying to expand what I test this coming season and already have a few tests in the books for December. Thanks so much for watching and your nice comment!
That's awesome. Looking forward to those videos. Thanks for the suggestion. Will dive into those and watch your videos regarding those skis too.@@RicketySkiReviews
Both of those lengths sound a bit short for your height and weight. For reference I'm a similar height and lighter. I'd say I'm an intermediate and unaggressive skier. Ski Essentials suggested the 180 Rustler 9 based on my QST 98 experience on the 183 length.
Hmm. I am always around 180s with under foot 80s. Thought one short such as 174 might be ok with wider 96 under foot. Depends on the skis I guess. Then I should really stay with my 180 with Rustler 9@@stevendick1562
Havent skied any of the mantra or the ranger, my daily driver is an enforcer 94. I see a lot those two others and I feel like the mantra is the more precise of the 3 and also the stiffest. The ranger looks more forgiving, the better floater. The enforcer is the dampest.
@@keith2076 I'll keep an eye on those demo days. Don't think I'll go for it, but they look like a lot of fun :) I mean... if money wasnt an issue I'd have 10 pair of skis, in constant rotation 😂
Demo the Head Kore line...esp. the 105s. Really would like to hear how you feel about them. Another ski...the Rossignol Sender 106s....but the Head Kore line is a MUST
@@RicketySkiReviews I demoed a pair of Blizzard Firebird….or was it Thunderbirds?….and they were the worst most uncontrollable skis I’ve ever had on my feet. So right or wrong, I won’t ever buy a pair of Blizzard skis. Maybe they were tuned badly…but I couldn’t catch an edge at all. Oh well. Plenty of other fantastic skis out there.
It’s all well and good but when he said the the steel edges were 25% recycled most metals now days are that from salvage they add that to new ore ! So that is a marketing ploy!

Thanks! I definitely have emailed out several of your requests to these companies so thank you again!

NOTE: There was no video of him skiing with it.
good point!

Fair assessment!
The Mantras ROCK! I'm a speed freak and they never let me down. stable as all get-out.
I demoed the M6s once and was instantly hooked.

They're top of my list for this coming season! Along side the Rustler, and the Ripsticks!

I’ve skied BlackCrow Anima and the Fischer Ranger 115 for 3+ seasons and as PNW daily driver Fischer Ranger comes first by far.
Awesome! My brother rocks the 90's on the East Coast and loves them.
AWESOME NEWS about BLACK CROWS 😊⛷️
What about reviewing some Scott freeride skis? I used to ski them in the past, so I'm kinda emotionally attached... 😊
Would love to if I can get my hands on a pair
@@RicketySkiReviews do you see them in US?
Great colour of ranger 96, make others think you are on DPS 😀
lolll I didn't even think of that!
The colours on the female Rangers are better than the males. Since there's no construction differences, it gives all of us more colour choices.

Out of collective is cool, but the dude looks stoned all the time lol.
You know it's not just the 6 mm in width that's different, right?
