im pretty sure that in the ORIGINAL Mario Kart from the Super Nintendo (1992) that was actually Donkey Kong Junior and NOT the bigger full-sized Donkey Kong, Junior is his son and had his own NES game titled "Donkey Kong Jr." from the early 1980's
