  • This is an overview on my conversion of a Schwinn Shuffle kick scooter, to an electric version. It's a 48v 1000w Voilamart 20" front wheel hub motor, that I used on the rear. It's powered by a LiFePO4 BtrPower 48v 20ah battery. I'm not a youtuber, so forgive the video quality. I just wanted to share my conversion as I thought it may be somewhat helpful to others searching for these on youtube. I did not find too many when I first started doing mine. I feel like mine is a little different than the ones I have seen. The Schwinn Shuffle makes a great base for an eConversion. The factory parts are cheap and should be upgraded, but the frame is what you want. It does flex quite a bit, so if you're 200lbs+, maybe look for a beefier frame. Cheap, fun, scooter potential though! Let me know if you have any questions. #schwinn #shuffle #kickscooter #electric #kick #bike #kickbike #build #scooter #diy #escooter #ebike #makestuff #bigkid

This thing is pretty cool! I especially like the use of the old skateboard deck! Nice work! 🙂

That's a nice and clean looking build. It's good that you used the torque arms.

Thank you! Yeah, I'm sure the axle would have twisted the dropouts open if I didn't.

If you want to push more amps you can shunt mod the controller, wouldn’t reccomend doing more then 20 though

I can allow more current through the controller settings, but the phase wires are currently only 12 AWG. 30mph on that is fast enough for me anyway. I built a 5000W mini bike that satisfies the speed demon in me, haha! Appreciate the feedback!
