Ghost in the Machine - Lying From You Remix (Linkin Park)

To clear up any confusion on the title, I have done a lying from you remix in the past that used almost entirely LP samples and was titled as a Linkin Park song. I just put GITM as the main artist in this title to avoid any confusion with the old remix. Additionally, the only track I used from LP is the vocals, everything else I created myself so I think it makes sense to have this one listed the way I do. As always thank you so much for all of your support, I can't thank everyone enough!

I wanted to go COMPLETELY heavy for lying from you, but I think the slow, more emotional moments are what help define my sound as an artist, so you guys will see the intro has been changed a bit, and theres a nice breath of air in the middle section of the song. It actually turned out to be more progressive in the song structure, hope everyone enjoys it!

This is so AMAZING, you're awesome, man. For me the best part starts at 2:11 till the end, also loving the instrumental slow part in the middle with the piano. Is it piano actually? Not sure, but either way, really great remix!
haha yea it's cello and piano. I'm glad you like it! I always go into every song with very specific influences, I've been listening to a lot of Sevendust and Sepultura lately so I think their styles worked there ways in here lol. and I'm glad you liked the slow part! I've always been into the heavier side of metal, and I used to worry that bringing my classical background (the String Sections and Piano's I use) into it would turn people off, but over time I think it's kind of become a signature for me. So to hear kind feedback on the softer parts honestly makes me stoked! thank you!
Oh, please bring all the classical influence ;). Personally, I absolutely love the combination of metal + rap + orchestral/classical. To me that's like the absolute best mix to ever exist. It brings together seemingly very different genres and makes it more emotional on different levels, kind of like mixing anger (metal/rap) and sadness/happiness (classical). It's a whole new spectrum. And you do these mixes really well, seriously, don't doubt yourself in this regard ;). So I'm really glad to hear you say it's become one of your signature aspects, more awesome remixes and original compos coming our way :)).

I thought it was impossible to create a better crawling remix / where'd you go (which you did clearly), but I was wrong. vibrates, it made me excited. I confirm what I have already written in the preview: for me and 'the best mix of the last time, the guitar will never be able to understand how you can make it sound like that, it's not a groove and' a hurricane all this combined with an original structure . you are a talent, an artist of rare ability. But I actually come from a classical music background, that has ingrained dynamics into my creative process, so even if I'm trying to go hard I always put in softer sections to help build an impact. Wow! I'm loving the heavy sound in this song! And the seamless blend with Points of Authority. I think, so far, you're the only artist on RUclips who knows how to blend different LP songs together seamlessly without them losing their distinct sound. You know what I mean? :P
I do have some questions to ask you, Ghost. :P
1. Are you focusing more on your original songs compared to LP remixes? I'm really curious to hear both!
2. Do you work alone? Do you collaborate with other musicians? If you play all the instruments by yourself, then I'm really speechless! :D
3. I assume that you have your own studio to do the recording and mixing. How long did it take for you to perfect the studio?
4. What do you work as besides creating music?
5. Do you have social media dedicated to GITM? I'd love to follow you on IG or something.
Sorry if I'm asking too many questions or if someone else had already asked the same question. Love your work, Ghost!
1) I'm going to try and alternate between 1 original song, to 1 remix though they might not always be LP remixes. It should just be additional content, and won't take away from the amount of remixes I do, merely add more content overall!
2) I work completely alone! Everything you here is either made, or played by me! However I do have a couple collabs with vocalists coming up fairly soon! I also just got a vocal mic setup so I can start doing the vocals for my originals myself as well!
3) I do have what I would consider somewhere between an amateur and pro studio. I use Adam P33's for monitors, Shure Sm7b mic, Axe Fx II for guitars, and the Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 as an interface/preamps. My guitar is a Schecter Blackjack ATX C-7, but I swapped out the stock pickups for Bareknuckle Aftermath's, and I use a Peavey Grind 4 Bass. In total My studio probably costs about 11/12 Grand which really isn't too much considering I've accumulated it over 6 years or so!
4) I was a store manager at Mattress Firm for about 5 years, but I quit about a year ago and I'm going to school to get my 5th-12th grade teaching certificate haha. I guess I'm an old fart now at 28 lol. My dream is to be able to make a living just creating music, and maybe doing guitar lessons or something along those lines!
5) I have a facebook @ facebook.com/ghostmachineband, and I'm currently working on creating an Instagram and Twitter, I'm just working on getting clean handles that don't have tons of numbers in them. Ill be posting later this week with links to those in the sub feed!
