I'm the eldest of four siblings. My experience of having a younger brother and two younger sisters can be probably described as a strange series of experiences with stuff being at its chillest these days.
Thank you for posting this. In 2 days is the one year anniversary of losing my sister to ovarian cancer. This brought back so many great memories for me. But also the crippling sadness that I'll never be able to just pick up the phone and call my sister to laugh and cry over life's ups and downs ever again. But the happy memories are what my sister would want me to think about always. Thanks for helping me to focus on the good memories. I had an amazing sister and I miss her every single day and will till the day I die. Hug your sister/sister's today and appreciate her/them. You never know what life has in store in the future
I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you're doing okay. Losing a family member is one of the hardest things we go through in life. Make sure to to take care of yourself these next couple days, watch some of your favorite shows and eat some of your favorite snacks, you deserve it. I wish you and your family the best.
I can actually relate to this, being the oldest, and having to take care of my siblings, while also dealing with their bs. But in the end, they are family, and everything works out. Glad to see you endure that, Den.
"She doesn't wanna share" OH MY GOSH I felt that. I hate hate HATE when my siblings use my stuff without asking, even when I'm not using it. It's just nice to be ASKED if they're going to be using my things rather than just assuming I'd be okay with it and taking what they want.
I am the eldest of three boys. My mother is Filipino. My dad is Nigerian. The expectation was that someday I'd be the family patriarch. Y'know, grow up. Get rich. Have a big house. Let everyone stay with me when they get old or are on vacation. So everything I did was under a microscope.... and as a result, I did that shit to my younger brothers. Every little imperfection. Every little slight against me. I made them KNOW it. Or that's what I thought. I'd always feel bad about it right after. And even apologize long after they had forgotten all about it. In adulthood, my brothers say they never held too much of it against me. Because in a way, I was their meat shield from the psycotic storm that way our parents.
I LOVE THE STYLE OF THIS VIDEO! It’s like a perfect blend of the style from the “famous” video, and you old styles. I LOVE IT! In the famous video, I really loved the new character model, but I had trouble getting used to the pastel color palette and the anime eyes. Both are so much better here!
I think everyone who is the oldest sibling has either gotten their sibling in some serious shit or made their sibling believe stuff that wasn’t real. I remember my little brother was scared for years to go upstairs alone, just because I told him this ghost story one time. He got over it eventually but whenever he was send to his room to calm down after tantrums, he wouldn’t last a minute before going downstairs and saying sorry
One time, me and my step-sister went to the Renaissance Fair and we’re practically the same age but we look nothing alike, then a little girl came up to us, saying if we were on a date… It was awkward for the rest of the day :)
I have a little brother who is 4 years younger than me. So being the superior sibling, I always meme’d on him CONSTANTLY while we were growing up! We love each other to pieces though. He’s a chill asf guy who loves computers and is a hefty gamer, and I’m a chill artist. We are introverted beans.
Having siblings is a weird and inconsistent experience. With me, we either mostly tolerate each other or have a mark on the other’s back. Edit: don’t get me wrong, we are usually pretty decent to each other. We’ll usually do things out of kindness like her helping with rides and I often let borrow or give stuff to come in use like old floor rocking chair. So we definitely have our qualities, but we sure know how to quickly piss the other off(whether intentional or not).
As the middle child of the family, the stereotype of us being forgotten about, holds up for me. Not because I'm the middle child. But instead because I have this habit of staying dead silent for like 30 minutes. They just forget I'm even there sometimes.
Hey CypherDen!! If you are reading this I just wanna let ya know you have the best stories and relatable as well!I just found your channel like a week ago & now I have watched all your vids and they are amazing!❤^^
As apart of the oldest sibling group my father had a weird logistic where because I was birthed first meant it was my duty to watch both and feed both. Now they are are mad I’m always looking out and “mothering” them… I wonder why.
I'm the 8th child out of 11 kids. I have 6 older brothers and 1 older sister, then have 2 younger sisters and brother. Growing up was a hassle. Wars were fought, reluctant forced hugs were given (parents punishment), messes were made. But despite everything, we still love and rely on each other, even after we have all become adults.
My sister passed away and yes we did all this...minus sharing clothes part. She did however ask me to repair costumes and help her cosplay for the first time. I miss her, and even her weird things she did. O_O I still find it funny she came to an Anime Con and called me asking what hotel room I was in forgetting I didn't attend that one...she actually had to tell someone she was my sister and I had to bail her out of a photoshoot which was embarrassing
I never experienced a sibling rivalry... but I do recall when I got jealous of my sibling's friends because they were hanging out on what I thought was our playtime 😅
I have an older brother and we DID NOT get along at all as kids. There were occasional moments but by and large we had nothing in common and he was a few years older so he was mostly just irritated by my presence. Now we are adults and we’re super chill and hang out when we can.
My sister is a year younger than me and wears all of my stuff even when we don't like the same stuff, it is nice to have siblings, so you have people to annoy or want to push off the roof. Ever since I got into college and moved out my siblings have been more like my best friends so are my parents but mostly my mom.
Oldest of 5 and onmy girl. Honestly there was a ton of fighting. My brothers never asked for or porrowed my clothes. Even for gender swap day at school. We shared a lot of favorite shows and activities and still do. And they all still run when I try to hug them. And we're all adults
I’ve never had siblings which I’m kinda glad but also sad about. Instead I have a close-knit group of cousins. One of whom could practically be my twin (we were born exactly a month apart and have the same brunette hair). I’m the Dipper to her Mabel.
I’m one of 4 siblings, I’m the 3rd child, always forgotten and always in the smallest room. My lil sis, the baby child gets anything she wants at any time. And if she’s crying I get blamed ( she’s only a year younger than me!!)
I know your pain with the lights being on when you're trying to sleep. I keep my door cracked so the cats can come and go, but my sister used to ALWAYS leave the hallway light on. Drove me freaking nuts.
I shared a room with my older sister as a kid and when she was studying and listening to Green Day and Avrill Lavaigne (good times), I was trying to sleep and sometimes went up and killed her computer or turned of her mp3 player🤣 My siblings are the reason I have such sensitive hearing, growing up with three metalheads makes you go through a pack of ear plugs quick. They are also the reason I have the music taste I have lol, metal or trashy early 2000s emo🤣
I am the youngest of 7, I got the middle child syndrome, I was the forgotten one and (surprising to most) wasn’t spoiled at all, and the oldest is 18 years older then me lol
Den : " If your the youngest you're probably the one your parents forgot about the most. " Me : '' Its the other way around confirmed by a youngest 😍''
I'm the baby of the family who was also bullied so my older sister got ignored a lot (my oldest sister is, like, 10 years older than us and she was all independent already). So, we hated each other. I have ripped her shirt, broken her toys, etc. And in return she mentally and emotionally abused me because I wasn't smart enough to do that. Ah, good times.
I feel kind've like a black sheep so to speak in terms of sibling experiences. Me and my brother were and still are very close and honestly I could compare it to twin relations because we didn't fight too often and got along pretty well.
It's weird having siblings, one day you're shoving each other off the top bunk in your shared room, but then one day you're giving them driving advice and reassuring them in their decisions.
I have 3 younger siblings who are close to my age. I’m a Twin and My brothers are twins. I’ve had to share a Room with my sister for as long as I can remember. I have something my siblings really don’t have, Patience. I’m kidding but it is true. 5:47 My siblings and Me always pulled the Parent card as kids. But I love my Siblings and I’m very grateful, my siblings have their good days.
