Alan Jackson is the man, he stayed the same with his music. I’ve been listening to his music since I was a kid, and it never gets old. His songs are real life for everyday folks, and that’s what makes his music great.

Your music is timeless in my opinion, and still as good today as it was years ago. I pray the Lord will comfort you and give you and your family strength as y’all deal with these health issues.

I 💯 % agree. Simple, pure, heartfelt, music and a person who can sing from his heart. Beautiful melodies and harmonies in the background where they belong. I’ve stopped listening to what they call country music years ago!! Because it stopped being country music. Now there’s a song title lyrics to run with. 😂
Many of the songs on Country radio stations are bad, but I like some of the new people mixed in with mostly older Country music. The 90's and early 2000's were great times. I was a kid in the 70's and 80's and there was sure a lot of Country that sounded like pop music during that time. And, there was a lot of glam back then too. I'd like a Country radio station that played about 80% 90's and early 2000's and only about 20% new Country.

Ok, so I’m not into country music but my father is, and he’s a massive fan. I have to say I’m impressed with the courage it takes to write a song to say that the new generation of country music isn’t country music. From what I have seen and heard over the past 10 to 15 years is absolute crap. Heavy guitars, female lead singers in sparkly mini dresses, heavy eyeliner and platform heels strutting around the stage trying to be sexy and sing a song when all the women’s voices sound the same as the last singer. Just because you wear a cowboy hat and have a slight twang does not a country performer make. It almost seems like they couldn’t cut it in the pop industry so “let’s add a cow bell and call ourselves country”. Even as a non country fan I roll my eyes, so I can imagine how pissed off someone like Alan Jackson would be at these people butchering something he is so passionate about.

He and George Strait did a song, Murder On Music Row, same tone of a love lost to "progress" Check it out, it stepped on a lot of toes when they sang it.

George is classic but I’ll always place preference to the artists that write their tunes. Alan has written some great songs when we’ve needed them the most. Hate that Father Time and disease is starting to take Alan from us.

If I could like this a million times I would. Thank you Alan Jackson for staying true to the beautiful soul reaching sounds of sweet country music. My husband and I always wanted Alan Jackson to do an updated version of “who’s gonna fill their shoes” to give tribute to the ones who have carried on the true country music sounds and traditions like George Jones. This song is sort of like Alan Jackson doing that in his own way. One of my favorite memories in country music history is when Alan Jackson stood up for George Jones at the country music awards (Pop A Top Again). Alan Jackson you are the TRUE Hero of Country Music not just for that but for remaining true to tradition in a way that even the newbies can’t compete with.

This is a very beautiful heart touching song . Anyone that grew up listening to country music back from the 30's-90' new what Country music was all about. I grew up on Country music
back in the 60's and I know that it was. old and new country even back then. But , Country singers even back then dressed western style .
They didn't have to dress to be sexy .
They were being themselves.
Alan Jackson has carried that teadition on through the years.
AND is Still keeping it Country.
His style of Country music is and will always remain the same .
