Truly one of the best games ever. I fully completed it to the 99.6% or whatever you could reach. I used a program to check your save for all those collectables that were outside any settlements. And then I used a mod that just spawned the missing few collectables to reach 100%.
my favorite part of this game was when the multiplayer mod first came out and it was basically a chaotic race to the mile high club, with like a few hundred people on the server

The Imperial Japanese story actually happened in the Philippines, having the last order from its officer to never surrender, and having no radio equipment and hiding in the mountains, these 4 japanese soldiers thought the war is still going on, terrorizing and stealing from the farmers, I think they only surrendered when the emperor itself, I think around the 70s came to tell them personally, because they refuse to believe all the letters that are being sent to them about the war being over decades ago. Fun trivia. Dont hate me tho, I know its a mixture of different southeast asian countries. I was just awed they added this detail on the story.

In just cause 3 you can carpet bomb cities and bases, which is one way to complete the game. It's also pretty fun because you have to time it, some bases have anti air defence like nukes or heat seeking missiles so you have to choose between dive bombing them, or flying 5km over the base and carpet bomb. It's pretty fun
I once had to defend an island 10 vs 35 players at 3am in the morning on the multiplayer roleplay server and i havent had that much immersion from any game since that day
@@jery3385 Alpha's Salt Factory still has a small Just Cause 2 multiplayer community and it's pretty fun and sometimes they have larger events during holidays and such where you can do stuff like the guy above commented about. I was probably born in the same generation as you, and just started playing the game this year so you can still enjoy it a bit. Also you shouldn't have the mentality that you were born in the wrong generation because we have lots of games today that will provide these same memories that in the future people will be wishing they were born in our generation to experience.
