They had so much trouble with Plantera because the arena was so big that it wasn’t jungle in the middle which causes Plantera to enrage, gaining massive boosts to speed, damage, and defense. That was the “attack” where it flies 3x as fast as the player and one shots you. It’s not an attack, it’s an anti cheese measure.
I’m impressed they beat it at all, honestly.

Wait until he finds out there are mods that add thousands of items, many bosses (including post-moonlord), hundreds of new enemies, and plenty of new biomes to explore.
The base game is only a tutorial mission at this point.

Honestly, this is at least my 15th time watching this video and I’m so glad it was made. This is by far my favorite game and was the first PC game I got over 9 years ago. Also just a fantastic video!

I mean, the ankh charm is a large recipe, but its materials are found most of later pre-hardmode and early hardmode. While the drops are based on luck, theoretically, they are all easy to obtain. The calamity mod exoweapons also have big recipes, but they include weapons spread out across all of pre-hardmode, hardmode, and post moonlord, with some even needing expert mode items.
I've watched a ton of gut-busting funny videos this past month but this is way up there. The comment about progression and Josh leaving items behind got me. This is without a doubt a gem of a video that I feel more complete for having watched.
This is legitimately what got me back into terraria. Two years and ~300 hours later, I can in fact that both this video and this game are absolute fucking bangers that have given me a great deal of entertainment.

John Mokeypants yeah, they made the arena so big that the space in the middle (which they mostly fought in) was caverns. The walls don’t count as Jungle, it has to be the jungle grass covered mud.

@@apen3493 the arena was waaaay too big, you need 80 jungle mud blocks for it to be jungle. but the arena was like 200 blocks wide, so he wasn't close enough to any jungle blocks for it to be considered jungle

i indeed admire this video as well as the game, this video is objectively the greatest game summary ive seen so far in my independent and free will life. Me and my large group of friends who can't speak english will watch your carrier with great interest.

Spore Sac is absolutely amazing, yet I never use it. Don't ask, I mostly just focus on Vanity (I absolutely love the Dye. Not the Special Dyes, actually just the regular craftable dyes), and the Spores are annoying to have around my Character.

I don't even bother with pots I can just use bee armour and the bee staff. Bee boy Bodyguards

i know there are some mods that add a Fishing quest where you fish for a "mini shark" and the reward is the mini shark. i wanna say AlchemistNPC. that said, he might also have just meant Fishing until you have enough money to afford buying the minishark. weird either way.
Maybe he just got stuff mixed up as he recalled it, easy in such a vast game
he fished up a lot of fish selled them and "fished the minishark from the arms dealer i guess?
