Blackbeard was under used, and a poor representation of one of if not the most well-known/ feared pirates to have ever sailed the seas for example In battle Blackbeard was a savage opponent with a reputation for inhuman strength. In addition, he cultivated his image to strike fear into the hearts of other sailors

Last year he dressed up as Jack Sparrow and made a video call to a kid with a terminal heart condition. It went viral and the call was on the kid's RUclips channel. And the kid was trying to hit a subscriber goal, and I think he easily did. Sadly, the kid passed away several months later.

@@blindtherapper2470 i rewatched that scene but uncut and its is how any enterpret it, because of the greed of cortez the heathen gods place a curse, any mortal that removes but a single piece from that chest shall be punished, so the way i interpertret it as soon as you take one from the chest you are cursed. i also enterpret the end where the curse is lifted different, first jack shoots barbosa, afther that will drops the piece in the chest, so the curse in my eyes is lifted afther barbosa is shot, but stil dies.

Seeing this movie as a child got me deeply interested in the history of piracy, all things nautical, and I even learned how to sail, that's how big the impression was on me. I honestly can't think of a single pirate film that was better.
Imagine that people saw this movie in theater back in 2003. The effects were ahead of time, the transitions between cgi and real is just so good and they show it off brilliantly. The story is also well written and the acting is just the right amount of over the top. In my humble opinion they peek at the 3rd movie in terms of over the top action scenes, so i cant wait for your reaction to the other ones.
Johnny Depp Actually got his first ever Best Actor Oscar nomination for this film, believe it or not. On a side note: Now you NEED to watch RANGO (2011). Same lead actor and director.
Another good early movie starring Kera Knightly would be Princess Of Theives, an early role for her where she played Robin Hood and Maid Marian's daughter, who follows in her father's footsteps.
This is just about a perfect movie. I think the first 3 are all great and I think the reason the latter versions are not so much ( though still pretty fun ) is because the trilogy is Will and Elisabeth's story, Jack is only a supporting character. And he does that so well. What Johnny Depp did with this character is nothing short of phenomenal. All those little quirks and mannerisms are all him. You can find the script online and none of this is part, it only says : Jack does this, Jack say that, etc... All that extra is just Johnny Depp. 11/10 performance, an instant iconic character.
we have all reactions up of Lord of the Rings! But we haven't seen any other Bloom movies on the channel yet, so we're finally seeing more of his work :D

It's far from an Orlando Bloom movie, but it's a really good movie with an excellent, deep cast... maybe his worst role in terms of likeability but he gives a great performance. Eric Bana is awesome in it, Brad Pitt is great as Achilles, Sean Bean even better as Odysseus...

My brother was 8 and I was 10 when my dad took my brother and I to see X-Men in 2000 at the theaters. We got our tickets, snacks, and made our way to our seats. My brother and I sat on opposite sides of dad because we're kids and everyone always wants to sit next to dad right. In the first major action sequence where Sabretooth emerges from the trees to attack Logan, the nachos and cheese tray in my brother's lap reflexively got thrown onto the crowd behind us 😂😂😂 dad laughed, my brother was shocked, and I was mad I let him hold the nachos 😂😂

Not only did this film show that a film based on an amusement park ride could work, it helped revive the pirate film genre, which had been dormant after the failure of Cutthroat Island in 1995. Johnny Depp stole the show as Captain Jack Sparrow. He said he thought of pirates as the rock stars of their day and so based Jack on rock legends like Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. This is also another film where the fight choreography was done by the great Bob Anderson, the man responsible for the best sword fights in all cinema. Sailors are amongst the most superstitious people you will ever meet, alongside actors, professional athletes (especially baseball players), and Catholics.
I've watched the first 3 multiple times, and honestly didn't even know that they made more until a couple of years ago. But judging from what I commonly hear, it's probably a good thing that I missed out on the others.

I Want to recommend you to watch, after this one, only the second and third movies, they are amazing, well-made, written, and exciting movies to watch, but after that, it became just trash that Disney makes now and then only to profit over a franchise, it's really not worth to watch after the third! Outpost is more recent Orlando Bloom film with Scott Eastwood. Its very underrated film, but I highly recommend it and its based on true story.
I truly believe if Elizabeth hadn't fallen, those two marines would have joined forces with Jack

I guess you know by now that Keira was Padme's decoy. One of my favorite Keira Knightly performances was in the movie "King Arthur". I truly believe you'd enjoy that one. Maybe you can share the experience with us soon.

Not only did this film show that a film based on an amusement park ride could work, it helped revive the pirate film genre, which had been dormant after the failure of Cutthroat Island in 1995. Johnny Depp stole the show as Captain Jack Sparrow. He said he thought of pirates as the rock stars of their day and so based Jack on rock legends like Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. This is also another film where the fight choreography was done by the great Bob Anderson, the man responsible for the best sword fights in all cinema.

I've watched the first 3 multiple times, and honestly didn't even know that they made more until a couple of years ago.
But judging from what I commonly hear, it's probably a good thing that I missed out on the others.
it's funny to see someone reacting for the first time at movies I've watched throughout all my childhood! I Want to recommend you to watch, after this one, only the second and third movies, they are amazing, well-made, written, and exciting movies to watch, but after that, it became just trash that Disney makes now and then only to profit over a franchise, it's really not worth to watch after the third! And the first 3 closed up really nice and round just by themselves, it was a perfect saga!
