      ように means “like..., looks like...”
      He looks like tired.
      かれはつかれている『ように』みえる

    Will the "ほど" grammar with with other verbs, too? Some examples using ほど with verbs would be nice.

    By the way, we also can use より like :
    は...より...です (superiority comparison. affirmative sentence)

    I have a question, there is no differences between より and ほど? Can I use them both in formal and informal context? Which one do You たか先生 use?

      ます and not  います
      ます it is the ending of a verb in the polite form.
      です it is found after an adjective (positive or negative) or to make the sentence polite.
      (Sorry if my english is bad x)

      です→used at the end of the normal sentence.
      います→used in the sentence that express the people.
      There are 2 people in my house
      →わたしのいえには2人の人が『います』

      思った通り→as I thought
      思ったほど→not as much as I thought
