Still laugh sometimes but Tom and Jerry are the best
Surprised how Scooby-Doo became so popular much later in the early 80's rather in the late 60's when it first came out. I'm really proud of Scooby-doo that show means a lot to me and you can see over the decades how the art style progressed and changed with the times. (each style was so cool). The feature films and tv shows were very memorable even the live action movies with Freddy Prince Jr were so iconic and depicted the 2000's perfectly. I hope it never dies.
I don't believe this video is based on any real data about Scooby Doo, or any of these cartoons. It's just set up so that cartoons start out with a smaller viewership, and gain viewers over time at random. Which isn't even really how it works in the real world, a lot of the time. Like contrary to what this video claims, the Simpsons reached its peak viewership in the early 90s, and has been declining since. Yet this video claims seven times more people were watching the Simpsons in 2019 versus 1991. Same with Scooby, I'm sure viewership rises and falls with each new series, or as old series end. It doesn't just keep going up in a straight line forever

Considering Gravity Falls only has 2 seasons it's an incredibly strong performer. Prediction is SpongeBob will take over Tom & Jerry because look how well SpongeBob performs and it's still not very old. SpongeBob is written for all age groups unlike some of the others that are popular

As crazy as this sounds. My great grand father named the cartoon “Tom & jerry” . He was one of Hannah Barbera’s original illustrators. When the cartoon was created all of cartoonist’s gathered around and they quiet literally picked the name out of a hat. And the name “ Tom & jerry” was picked by Hannah himself. My grandmother told me he hated the name so much. This makes my heart happy

I''ve been addicted to watching these type of video charts lately. It's just fascinating and kind of like time travelling. Never knew how dominant Tom and Jerry was. However, there seems to be several cartoons missing from here. What about Garfield, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Animaniacs, Family Guy, King of the Hill, and how did TMNT not chart in the 80/90s? It seemed to only make appearance in the early 2000s.

truly tom and jerry deserve it back in the days i watched them like crazy whenever it was aired even asked dad to bring thm on vhs after tht it was popeye,bugs bunny,looney toons oh those were the days still watch them though but after i watched captain tsubasa in late 90s things changed shifted to animes but desire to watch tom n jerry still pops up even today.

From 1949 until 2020 with a brief drop in 2013 to looney tunes then back on top the following year. Hanna barnera cartoons were what I grew up on. That's all they showed on cartoon network in 1997. Dexters laboratory and courage the cowardly dog like cartoons were on their Fridaynight block and dragon ball didn't even make a mark until the 2000s and that's because of z and super coming out. I'm amazed that tom and Jerry are still number 1. I effin love those 2.

I always ranked a couple cartoons as my personal favorites and objectively the best cartoons of all time that no one would disagree with.
My top 10 in order- Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Dragon ball Z, SpongeBob, Avatar the Last Airbender, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack, Regular Show, and Adventure Time.
