As a point of interest, Alanah, the audience participation thing allows people in chat to cast a vote on chat options - sort of like a poll - but you as the player still make the final decision.

BG3 has rotatable 360-degree camera view, just like Larian's previous games Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2. Many isometric games don't have that. Disco Elysium, Obsidian's iso games like Pillars of Eternity, Supergiant's iso games like Hades and Transistor, all have fixed camera angle only.
But also, BG3 is NOT an isometric game. It's just that the game is zoomed out at an angle... I could easily see a mod being created for close third person perspective.
Congrats on joining in and playing BG3. Save alot esp befor entering a new area or going thru doors, etc. Very immersive and surprises aroung every corner. If you want to multi-class balance is needed but after leveling up new class you can switch back to explorer as you get more health. Game is still hard, you just have more health.
I must have spent over an hour in character customization. God I cant wait for a second playthrough when there will be more appearance mods, if this goes anywhere close to say Skyrim modding OMFG 🥰

I enjoyed Larian Studios' Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2 immensely. Those games have, um, a colorful sense of humor, however, such as a soiled woman's undergarment that gives you +1 Charisma (not making this up). I wonder if BG3 has that kind of thing.
"I ain't done nothing wrong" she says moments after murdering a newborn who had done nothing wrong and merely had the bad luck of being associated with her kidnappers. I find it interesting that some choose that option, as I'd imagine they wouldn't do the same if the they were escaping human kidnappers who had a human newborn.
It's interesting that Alanah seemingly doesn't have that much DnD knowledge, as I hadn't really though about that the people I've watched previously did. There's a good deal of the mechanics and lore than they, and me, already knew. So it's interesting to see how fresh eyes look at things.
The "I'm the protagonist" made me think of how remarkably unimportant the player character is. You're effectively just a party member, everyone else can do the same things and the player can control them the same way. At least as far as I've played the player character is only really needed for the romances.
BG 1 and 2 and its expansions were developed by BioWare. Black Isle (as a subsidiary of Interplay) was in a publisher role. As to the extent of their role as publisher (i.e. logistics, marketing, additional support, staffing, development, QA etc.) wasn't clear as far as I can tell but the tools used to develop the games (i.e. Infinity Engine) was a BioWare creation. What Black Isle Studios have done in a developer capacity as far as the Infinity Engine games were concerned were the Icewind Dale duology as well as Planescape: Torment.
What is it with female players and Elves? Every single female player walkthrough I have seen has them playing Elves! I’m not female but Elves are my least favourite race, the males can’t even grow facial hair!!
The amount of streamer i've seen running away from the first major fight on the ship is pathetic. They don't realise that the sword Commander Zhalk is using can be taken from him while in the fight. Stun him a few times and he drops the sword, pick it up and use it on him and he dies because he is unarmed. That sword is a monster for early levels.
