Oh... I laughed out loud at this so hard. You literally made my day. I bought a smoke alarm and left it on the dining room table and asked my hubby to hang in up in the hall. A week later still not hung up. A month later...still not hung up. I told him we will all be dead from smoke inhallation by the time you "get around to it" (which includes watching hours and hours of TV and golfing). One day about six months later we I stormed over to get a chair to stand on and get screwdrivers and everything needed to install it and hubby say "What are you doing? I said I would hang it up for you." (For me. Like I'm the only one that would die in a fire) So I continued hanging it up while he sat on the couch watching a movie. When I was done he walked over and looked at it and said "it's crooked". He then said " I'll fix it" and proceeded to sit down on the couch. Six months later.....yeah you guessed it. Still croooked.
End of a long day (longer than it needed to be after finding timetotravel posting a step by step on here) replacing a plastic gear on my 13 year old craftsman, I quite frankly was out of patience and could not remember how to do this and the instructions on the unit were greek (call it stress). At any rate, thanks for taking the time to post this, I found it very helpful and a super way to end the day. THANK YOU.....everything works!!!

my keypad on the outside of the house didn't reset until I followed the instructions WITH THE DOOR CLOSED. Otherwise, this was very helpful. Thanks.

thanks... took me less then a minute to find this on you tube and about 5 minutes to reset the remotes!! That taking the time to move the van and get the ladder out and then all put away... Which is less time then it would to have found the directions and then read them. hehe

Thanks. I have not had my keypad working since the battery died a few years ago. Tried following instructions but no luck. It appears i need to do it repeatedly until the light bulb indicates it is set. Going to give it a shot

A good idea to is to change both remote and keypad batteries at same time at least every year or six months preferably .

Worked perfectly, but is there a way to reset the keypad without erasing the existing remotes? My in car remote was kind of a pain in the butt to program.
been in door biz 30 years never see a remote programed like that before.I thought you pushed the learn button and then the remote button. and you need the proper remote to match colore of learn button one more thing check battery in remote.
