I’m in love with Lisianthus and going for the armful next year!!! I’m in Houston/9a so I already sewed 8 varieties 💐💐💐😬 for January planting …. Cannot wait!
OMG, so wild to think you're already sowing, but it makes sense! Best of luck! I'm so excited for you...it's incredible once you get that armful. All the work is worth it! You go girl!
Great video! Makes me miss Spring so badly!! My lissies are just blooming. First time EVER! So excited. They're in a 1/2 barrel container and doing great! Some bloomed a couple buds while most buds weren't bloomed yet. So I cut those off for a little bud vase. Hoping more open at the same time so I can enjoy the whole stem at once!!
I got one plant from my months of lisianthus efforts but it has finally bloomed! Way behind my plugs but that’s ok. Enough to make me order a ton of corms for next year!
Ohhh, Joyce! I'm happy for you! Way to go! I know...I'm gettin' the itch to put all my huge orders in. It's that time of year! Maybe brinking on late even!
All 7 varieties of lisianthus have bloomed, and I'm super happy as it's my first year with them! I'm gonna try to collect seed, hopefully it works lol, I can't spend too much this coming year on seeds, and lizzy seeds are expensive! Though I do wanna get that lavender one, it's so gorg....
@@TinysGarden I think I will this year, lol. Leave some of the flowers on the plant, and label the plant to know which variety it is, then take the dried flower head, and scatter it in a small tray and prick out. The seeds are like dust haha, you may get quite a few seedlings, and it apparently takes less time to germinte than the coated ones we get when we buy seed!
If I remember right, about 12 days or so...it says on the back of the Johnny's seed packet how long it takes for germination. Once I see the littlest sign of green (and it IS super tiny) I take them off.
First time for me ♥️ I tried 2 varieties.. don’t recall the name ATM, pinky/rose colored and then an apricot I started about 25 of each and have 36 or so plants. Some haven’t put up buds, but the ones that have are gorgeous! They last forever in a vase! I’d love to try more varieties/colors next year. Such divas but totally worth it! I’d love to do a seed swap for multiple varieties? Anyone I trested?
Yeahhhh, Ruth Anne! I hope you get some takers on that! That's a great way to put it...they are SUCH divas, but then they bloom and you realize, "Oh, okay, I get it!" LOL
Gorgeous and the tulips too. Wow 🤩
Thank you! They were soooo pretty!

Same!! Hope it goes well for us both!

THEY'VE BLOOMED! I'm so excited for you! Please share your favorites as the end of the season nears...you did it, Cherie! I knew you could do it! :)

Splurge on the lavendar one and then tell me your secrets in collecting seed from Lissies because that would be a money saver!

Where is your green house from? If you don’t mind me asking. Thank you!
Thanks for the Lizzy video. Can you share how long did you left the seedlings on the heat mat? Thanks!

The rudbeckia… do you grow it as an annual?
I do, but it has come back in some areas for me as well!
Do you collect seeds from your lizzies?
I don't because they are so tiny, but I've hear some people do!
