The noise is SUCH a deal breaker. Bummer, if the silence from Hasbro was in the size of Mattel, that would be better.
Hasbro all the way. Adorable. The other one is way too noisy when it moves.

The only thing i dont like about the hasbro one is the way it closes its eyes in my opinion looks creepy and also the clothes are a lighter version of it

The loudness of the motor alone would keep me from buying the larger one. I have the smaller one , and the way it blinks, and the ears move while he makes adorable sounds, makes him seem so lifelike. Plus I personally think his face is cuter to begin with.I am waiting for Hasbro to bring out one that moves around the room.

@Susan Mcnutt I so agree. It feels like Grogu to me..the size and how it sleeps and makes random noises...It seems so real to me
The larger one looks more like the real grogu though, personally I think it’s cuter vs the little one but the little one does sound way better
I have the Hasbro one at my apt, im donating him to the children's hospital for Xmas, but I have enjoyed him a bit before he goes...love him so much 🥺🙌💕

The Hasbro animatronic was originally supposed to be shipped starting from October. I pre-ordered it in February, think the day it was announced. Shortly after they postponed the shipping date due to Covid related issues to around Christmas. But for some reason they finished the first batch earlier than planned, as I received a mail in the first week of October that my Baby Grogu was on it's way. I prefer the Hasbro one, even though I was disappointed in it smaller size at first. The movements and sounds are way smoother and more expressive. Me and my girlfriend catch ourself talking to it quite often, just as all of our friends to who we show him off to. Even Pedro Pascal was charmed by the Hasbro one, saying 'Hey I missed you little buddy' the moment they showed it to him on camera.
Can I just say that you are super endearing all around. Love your videos, your personality, your beauty and that eyeshadow is on point! Much love

I didn't even know about the bigger one! Now I MUST find him! I literally bought the last two (animatronic and plush) Baby Yoda items in the toy department at our Wal-Mart Store. I'm in love with him!!!! He reminds me so much of when my cat Juniper was a kitten and had to be bottle fed. The ear wiggles absolutely stop my heart! So freaking adorable!

Love this video! There are so many options, it’s a great run through of these two and you show them off so well. Love your love for them! I wonder if they’ll be a season 2 generation with a ‘wind in the hair as if he’s on the back of a speeder’ look or a ‘hands up in the air and gurgling with sheer joy as if he’s on a roller coaster/ diving Razor Crest’ look?! A Baby Yoda combo with R2 doing his little excited dance would be a huge seller too 🙂

The Hasbro one is the cutest and best. Also, the speakers could be a little less tinny. A decent speaker without distortion wouldn't cost much more. I do wish they'd make a more screen-accurate head for these though. Some of them differ a lot from what you see in the show.

The Hasbro one is ADORABLE and his movements are much quieter, but he's also sooooo small. Probably he'd more to scale for a kid, which would be great for their play and costumes.
The one that is almost life-size is also adorable, but the lack of closing eyes and the very loud motors makes him look less real. Also, that wrist control box is HUGE, especially for a kid. I'm a little surprised they didn't come up with something that was less bulky.

I got the loud one but it’s way smarter and has more play life in it than just tapping the head
Picked up the Hasbro at Costco for $23. My grand niece loved it. Her fav toy.
Thanks for being a help Tori. Watching other vids I was sure they were both R/C. Maybe I paid more attention to you. With that many movements it is a shame the Hasbro does not have more control over what it does but I like it.

Both are adorable, but you are also adorable. In terms of the 2 Grogus compared here, the noise is a deal breaker for me. I'd take the smaller one if I was in the market for another Grogu plushy.
I like the Hasbro one - for one thing, the other is too large, about maybe half the size of Yoda. So the smaller one would be more like a baby of that species. The quietness of the works is also very nice.
Btw you were on test play when you said I didn't even use tap him 3 times and He used the force.

As an adult I like the hasbro one but my son LOVES the Mattel one. The remote control and the following function is a BIG plus.
It is always so interesting to see what kids like vs adults!

Just came across you. I seen the baby yoda at our Wal-Mart. There was only two so I purchased it for 60.00 not knowing what it does. I'm a 56 year old man and I loved it. It is my first one. Now I have a lot of R2D2's and one of the animatronic Yoda with lightsaber and cane.I am like you the animatronics or almost soundless. That is definitely a plus. I prefer the real moves one it does sound like a plane taking off and a blender mixed but hey in my opinion its worth $70 dollars because it can follow you it can play hide and seek with you or you can control it, it also moves its head while making sounds plus the force i think its worth $70 :)

Am I the only person who thinks the cutest little thing in that video was Tori? Adorable! And screw the remote control Grogu. I still have a $200 R2D2 that independently plays games and follows me around. Without a remote control. I want the quiet one that doesn’t have wheels or a huge turbine inside making a racket. That critter is nearly as heartbreaking as Tori.
Which one do you think is more accurate to the look in the show, the plush one or the new mattell moving one? I’m curious
I have the moving one and I just ordered the plush one for cuddling
Hmmmm... I think that if the Hasbro one was bigger it would be the most accurate in terms of the face and behavior. But between the moving Mattel one and the plush Mattel, the molds are so similar that I think they’re on the same level!
How many sounds does the matel one have?
It doesn’t say it anywhere on the box, but when I tried to count I’d say there’s around 12-13. The force sound is in there, which is a little odd. Some are one-off sounds and some are little sequences of sounds! Hope that helps!
Did you get the replica one that just came out?
I did not get the Sideshow one that is currently out! Instead, I preordered the Hot Toys one! It is a bit different - I chose it over the Sideshow one because you can pose him (sadly, I couldn't afford both! lol). I will definitely have a video up reviewing the Hot Toys one whenever it arrives! 😊
