@@umkin542 I don't think it would look as appealing to have the middle part hidden in a patty cake and it is a lovely mould that really adds to it all. But thanks for the suggestion

What should I do to loosen up the batter so that I can pour it without a problem. I have now made this recipe for the fourth time but this time I'm going to decorate it with royal icing and redcurrents because it's almost Christmas time. I was inspired by a photo on Pinterest of the end result. And a Merry Christmas to you.
