I did fish it top water, as well as letting it drop. I really like rocking a 3/16 ounce bullet weight on a full size rage craw. If you keep your tip up and reel at a decent speed it will stay on top and I’ve caught a fair amount of fish doing that. If the vegetation dictates it you can let it drop to the bottom and fish like a traditional Texas rig.
What’s crazy is that if you turn the audio up you can hear them! I’m born and raised in Alaska where the state bird is the mosquito so it’s not my first rodeo when it comes to them!
Benewah Creek!! Try the train bridge for slab crappie!!! We have had a cabin there for 75 years!!
We hit the bridge and pulled some nice large mouth off of it. I’m always on the lookout for crappie spots!
Were you fishing that weighless craw topwater?

Any chance I can get a location for this spot or general area? Been having lots of luck on trout but looking for more small mouth in the cda area
If you shoot me an email I’ll give you some ideas! northwestoutdoorlife@gmail.com
