I was about to be like "damn what a calm bossfight music compared to others" but her whole thing is like not being swayed by emotion because of her curse so this fits her character
I love this theme, but then again all the harbingers are probably going to end up sounding amazing. I really love the mix of a child choir and the fact that instead of the singer matching the gender of the harbinger it instead reflects that Arlecchino goes by 'Father' and not by 'Mother' like the previous Knave.
Wanted to note that this boss fight isn't like the other Harbinger fights: instead of fighting to the death, this one is about Arlecchino and her children. Each one is tied to their quest, and thus has different emotional weight. Spoilers below: I'm no expert on Latin, but there is a translation of the lyrics on the wiki (which isn't great but helps). To sum it up: - Signora's is her lament for her inevitable demise and foolish vanity - Scaramouche's is lamenting about how he was thrown away (in Japanese) and mocking the foolishness of the Sages for having chosen him as a false god (Latin) - Arlecchino's by contrast is deeply tied to her story quest, as it implies her erasing memories ('and so I will keep the dreams of my children') though that could simply be a declaration of her dedication to her children's futures, and later explicitly addresses her children (most likely Lyney), as she says at the very end that she has chosen him as the 'new light' in the hearth instead of ending their fight with 'silver' (i.e. blades). It also explains why it ends so abruptly, as instead of her going all out, she actually pulls back so as not to kill her children and the fight doesn't end with anyone dying.
Lots of narrative sense in this I love how this theme feels like it's entirely about how Peruere dances around her identity and her role as Arlechhino, but seen through the eyes of the hearth's children
@@Theigzorn i can just imagine pierro's boss theme being an epic orchestral version of the entire fatui leitmotiff. I can already picture the legendary live action concert for it oml
Yes! before Scaramouche i needed to hear comparison videos to notice the similarities, now as i was fighting Arlecchino in game i noticed the Fatui theme right away
I dont agree. As a musician I can say that this theme is done even more powerful and with quality than Signora's theme. Signora's theme was typical ''dramatic opera'', while here we have twisting nature shown with a really interesting progression that combines something usually not combined in music and in a non orthodox way. I'd say both themes depict their characters very well.
@@SamuraiSx19Agreed! This theme does depict Arlecchino’s character. She said when she was growing up, she was the cold one who had little emotions. This theme, as the OG comment said, feels like it’s devoid of emotions, which basically describes her. It’s also so cool to see this type of soundtrack.
@@RadiantWolf19 I agree as well, and would also like to add that while Signora's theme played, she fought to survive and was ready to kill the other party. In Arlecchino's case the battle wasn't a matter of life and death. She didn't intend to kill, and obviously wouldn't get killed. Their situations were unalike and I think the music portrays the difference clearly.
Yeah, it has similarities and is very good (I hate Arlecchino, so that says a lot), but compared to Childe, and especially Signora and Scaramouche themes it's easily the weakest because the second part is so whatever. The first is the part I like. I feel like they focused too much on making it scary/creepy that they forgot to add Arlecchino's actual emotions, and yeah she might avoid expressing them (very boring character when this is her only schtick) but they still exist, and I would expect all Harbingers' themes to reflect their inner world/dialogue like we have always gotten.
The dubstep part doesn't fit, like for the narwhal... It was good with scara's theme because it fit his broken mind especially because it was on the japanese style part of the song, here it's just random The music is getting worse and worse since fontaine's second half to the point where natlan's music is just... i don't want to say it's bad, it's fine for a video game but it doesn't make me want to just stop and listen to it anymore

Is it just me but does it feel like the closer we get to higher ranking harbingers, the more the fatui theme becomes more dominant in their own theme?
Yep it does !
its a nice way to show that the higherups are much more invested in the ideology of it and/or know much more about the real goals.

Arlecchino : Stand proud traveler you are strong
Strong enough to no hit her but the plot didn't let me beat her sadly
@@Drago-fish The plot demands that Traveler forgets they have elemental powers and use a dull sword.

5:14 is the best, especially after the second beat.
0:50 sounds like an Argentine Tango tempo haha the dance would fit the vibe of the song (or even a Paso Doble)

Невероятная тема ❤
5:15 broo this beat drop make me feel EVIL
Божественно...
The beginning was the same as ‘Coraline’ the movie. 😍

it has scaramouch theme vibes .
I don't know. This theme feels pale in comparison to La Signora theme. It just doesn't have any raw emotion underneath it
I 100% agree, I like the first phase but it does not compare to la signora or Scaramouche
