- I added workspaces for the boys and an entire wall of cork board for all their master planning! It was super simple too. Maybe this will mean the end of duct-taped pieces of paper everywhere??
I’ll give you a little tour of all the updates and show you exactly how I put the cork up - no power tools, no glue and no plywood!
I have all the links and full tutorial in this post:

Great video! Most other vids seemed a lot more "messy." 🤣 We're making one in our church area so I'll get a roll and some carpet tape to test! Thanks!
Hope it works well for you! May God bless you for the work you do :)
Thanks! it looks great. Instead of doubling up on cork I used Elmer's foam core boards (curbside pickup from Michael's , each 20in x 30in board $2.99) under the cork on a very thin sheet of plywood, to give it structure, so I could hang it from a bolt on a beam.
So you had a layer of plywood foam the cork?
@@TheKonnoisseur11 exactly.
Amazing 👏 wonderfull job you go girl
Love!! Thank you for the doubling tip!
You used carpet tape to adhere the boards to the wall?
I used the tape to adhere the two cork layers together :)
i have a question what would i need to make the Top and side panels so i can make it look like a actual BoarD?
This is so lovely. I have been thinking of this kind of thing for a Galliers wall. Instead of installing a hanging System have a wall installed and keep adding reorganizing pieces. I see you have hung one frame and one mounted frame too here. Would you share experience of is would be good enough to hang light weight photo frames as well. Greetings
Hi! I just used a longer nail to go through the cork to the drywall. It's fine for light weight items :) Does that answer your question?
It's great nailing it without glue, Will it drop ?
No, it shouldn't. I used finishing nails every 5 or 6 inches. Ours is still up nice and sturdy :)
U just used small nails ? And the naild r holding it ? Or is it holdeing because of the dide walls ??
Yes, I just used finishing nails and they hold it up great
@@HouseMixBlog ok. Thankbu for ur reply :)
Buy a corkboard. Is it worth the trouble and time?
Yes :)
Where did you get the cork board from?
I got it on Amazon. The exact one I got is no longer sold, but this is comparable: amzn.to/3wndtI6
Any reason why you taped up the cork wall on top of another cork wall?
Yes, one layer of cork wasn't thick enough for tacks. So pushpins would have gone all the way through and damaged the wall. So I taped two layers together with carpet tape to make it thicker.
How thick was the cork board you bought?
Sorry I'm just now seeing this. It's 1/4-Inch
How's it holding up a year after?
It still looks great! :)
@@HouseMixBlog Thank you! I'm putting mine up this week. I'm so excited 😁
