exactly! see there's a culture that if the college is student driven that means their past students were placed in a good position enough to hire the next batch so far or some references might work but if its not student driven that means students past years were not in a position to offer roles to the students presently studying in their college....did you get that?

Borderline case for IB. Even if you dont get IB, you can try for other courses. Since placements are centralized so it will not matter much from an output point of view.

This interview is a complete lie. Fore packages go max to 12-13lpa . Placement process is shady and only 30-40% get placed.
90% of the professors here have no corporate experience and there are a bare minimum activities for students to network and socialize.
For work experienced the experience is a big dampner, you'll fare much better pursuing any certification on analytics, data science or marketing.

If MBA is the ONLY option left with you now (assuming you have already explored other government options like RBI Grade B, NABARD, SIDBI, SEBI, SBI PO, SSC CGL, State PSC etc), Its recommended that you take the second route. Get some more work ex and go for a full time residential 1 year executive MBA from a top IIM/ISB/XLRI.
Going into a tier 2/3 college after 36 months of work experience will not make much sense as you will be one amongst the outliers and it will be difficult for placement team to bring companies that matches your profile. In top colleges this usually isnt a big reason to worry.
I have been shortlisted for FM IB and BDA, should I go for IB or FM? Both seem interesting to me ( i have huge interest in stock Market), but which one offers better value

You should be getting the interview call. 55% weightage is for Past Acads, Interview, Extempore and work ex.. so don't worry about the CAT score much once you get the call. The factors mentioned above are more important for conversion.
