I feel a strong 8 for this video. If you would have included Darkcore,Makina and Doomcore. Did some more research on Speedcore and Extratone. And woudn't have putted Hardtechno under Hardcore. I would probably give you a 10. But this is very good compared to 99,9% of all the other video's that talk about this stuff. And confuse like 80% of the Sub-genres with each other. I also like how a huge part of this video is made out of the long Reddit post. Also as far as i know Tekstyle and Subground are still alive. They have just moved to the underground. That doesn't mean that they are dead. No Genre,Sub-genre etc wil ever die. It will just become mainstream,underground (somewhere in between) Or the other way around.

Extratone is actually a really interesting genre, its created by getting a kick or percussion sample and bumping the bpm way up so that it essentially becomes a note. Then you use that sound to make a track, though most of it sounds like utter bullshit, there was this one guy who took a drumsolo and using this method made the same drumsolo with the drumsolo. So you get drumsoloception :D

Jokes aside, Extratone is actually a good genre to listen to if you find good songs. The one I used is complete garbage. This one guy below recommended a Kobaryo track to me, which was awesome. It's all about finding the right stuff.
That Kobaryo track uses Extratone. But also a slow beat at the same time. I think that this is a better example for Extratone. Aekhloria - The Lost Temple 2012

The future will be bright for UK Hardcore. I can agree that it may be very different from most hardcore subgenres but it takes a lot of energy with hardstyle-ish melodies, I really like it. I hope that there will be a Happy/UK Hardcore stage on Defqon.1
Happy hardcore s made in Holland bcs, the radio wouldnt play 'regular hardcore' they find it far to evil and angry so they decided to make the songs 'happy' so the radio can bump it too...

You skipped 2 genres when going from speedcore to extratone
1- splittercore - 600/700 to 1000 BPM, it’s pretty aggressive
2- Suicidecore - 1000-3600BPM, it’s the darkest genre of music I know of, its themes are just horrifying
I don’t listen to either of these genres very often, just though I’d mention them ^^
And hypertone - inf. BPM
suicidecore isnt a real genre, speedcore is 300 bpm to 599, splittercore is 600 bpm to 999, extratone is 1000 bpm to 99999, and hypertone is 100000 to inf

It sounds like a combination of Terror/Terrorcore,Splittercore and Extratone.
Ok now to Extratone.
Most people say that Extratone is 1000+bpm.
(the creator of Extratone in 1998: einrich3600 says 3600+bpm for Extratone)
But only if you use a very neutral bassdrum.
(Pure 3600 bpm will be exactly at 60 HZ)
And if the kick doesn't use a lot of effects.
But if the kick doesn't use a very neutral bassdrum with a lot of effects on it.
Than you can reach the Extratone sound below 3600 bpm already.
First Extratone track: Einrich 3600 BPM - Oszillograph EKEL
15.000 to 1.000.000 is Supertone (creator: Diabara in 2010)
First Supertone track: Diabarha - The side of the dark
1.000.000+bpm is Hypertone (creator: Zustand D in 2013)
First Hypertone track: Zustand D. - Introduxia Dimensii Hypertone
And finaly Omegatone.
Here is the explanation of it.
So what is there to understand? That Omegatone is "faster" than Hypertone and therefore is beyond infinity of speed. If you create a "click" for a single fraction of a second it is already an infinite speed, if you re-create a tone (with almost inaudible style) with the click (infinite) you theoretically put together a number disproportionate to infinities together. The omega is still infinite but absolute infinite because it is an infinite set of infinities, therefore Omegatone is a set of infinite BPMs.

Actually the Psy-Style trend was started by Rooler & Sasha F with Number 23, but Syren definitely played a big role in this scene.
True but rooler imo always has that experimental af kicks and syren started to use the psystyle as her own more or less unique sound

What's that hardstyle called that has reversed kicks?
Bit like Schranz kicks but cleaner and a lot thumpier.
Examples would be
- Let's get pillz (DJ Thera remix)
- DJ Thera - Strength to justify
- NeonPink - Extra Raw
(All of which can be found on Soundcloud easily)
Those are called gated kicks, it's not a subgenre of hardstyle, just another type of kick that's used.

You have the kick and then the same kick except reversed to lead into the next kick.
@@rachelpurity1 Hi I know this is a year old but those kicks aren't reversed at all, they are just less processed with distortion than ordinary raw, with more a little more reverb. Reverse kicks are more of the likes of oldschool early hardstyle like DJ Duro, old Showtek, Technoboy etc
I went from Hardstyle to Hardcore to Frenchcore and now I listen to Uptempo (Alarm glock to wake up and also to go to sleep :D)

I really, really dislike the harder bigroom tracks. the thing about hardstyle is that it's a more close family because it's more of a niche genre than other EDM genres, but with it becoming so popular, I'm afraid it will lose that
That's why, luckily, new Subgenres keep popping up.

Uptempo hardcore ends at 200 BPM. 200-230 becomes Terror.
You forgot the breakcore, gabber, raggacore and splittercore (600-1000 bpm)
Speedcore ends at 600 bpm
Industrial Hardcore is SO different that the exemple, but the description is ok
Crossbreed is not a hardcore subgenre, for the most incrieble that sounds. It's a extreme side of drum & bass and not all uses hardcore infuences, but still not a hardcore kind. And if don't believe, gerally hardcore fans dislike crossbreed.
Happy Hardcore and UK Hardcore are not same things. There's a little difference about then, but it's not the same

Breakcore is not a Sub-genre. It's a combination of many different music styles.
Raggacore is not a Sub-genre.
Terror ranges from 180 to about 300 bpm
Crossbreed is not a Sub-genre. But it is a Fusion between Hardcore and Drum And Bass.
raggacore is a breakcore subgenre, ragga/reggae/dub/dancehall/bashment focused breakcore, past the speed or distortion of any regular (even harder) 'ragga jungle'. Thắng Nguyễn Đức No, it isn't actually. Majority of euphoric tracks have an anticlimax. Rawphoric is taken into consideration when a song has a euphoric melody but raw kicks in the climax (a lá Atmozfears - Leave It All Behind and RVAGE - Purpose Of Life)

There is one thing I'd like to know. You put UK hardcore and happy hardcore together, but can you tell me what's difference between those two?
Dávid Šebeň The difference is actually there, but isn't too big to classify them as two separate subgenres. Happy hardcore is the pre-2000 stuff and UK hardcore is the post-2000 stuff. S3RL, Darren Styles or Stonebank are UK hardcore artists, but Paul Elstak or Charlie Lownoise and Mental Theo are happy hardcore artists. It's kinda like how Nu-Style evolved into Euphoric.
Axelade Whole time I thought that Stonebank makes happy hardcore. On every channel his songs are classified that. Didn't know that it's actually UK.
UK hardcore was a new name given to happy hardcore in the early 2000’s due to the evolution of the 90’s sounding happyhardcore since about the late 2010 the term Happyhardcore is being used to describe UK hardcore again probably due to the increase in popularity outside of the U.K. also UKhardcore/ Happyhardcore in 2021 is a pretty broad term as there’s many different styles of it being produced right now.

A lot of the examples sound like the same genre, for instance the examples for Uptempo, Rawstyle, and Hardcore. You clearly don’t actually listen to Speedcore or Extratone and just reused “Cold Pizza” and “Uranoid” like every other video like this. Also no Gabber? You mentioned it in the description of cross breed but didn’t include it. I would make a video like this, but since I am actually passionate about this kind of music I know that there is a too much I don’t know about it’s sub genres to be accurate.
