      Girl, I treat my pubes like my face. I exfoliate with salicylic acid and it does wonders. Tretinoin had my face so brand new that I use that on my bikini line as well. I haven’t found a wealth of info on tretinoin for the pubes but if I decide to get pregnant I’d stop. I don’t use the two at the same time…. Nor should you.

    Thank you so much for posting this. I have had a huge ingrown hair breakout after my first Brazilian wax at EWC. I was using DOVE in the shower everyday after exfoliating. I had no idea that could cause a problem. And I have been researching this for two weeks your the only one who said the thing about DOVE. I'm going to switch tomorrow and hopefully that will fix this issue.

      :-) usually the estheticians at EWC would explain proper home care to the guests. (i used to manage the EWC corporate stores)....i used to break out badly from waxing too and never knew what to do, i HATED my bikini...but after doing those things and getting laser, i have no problems now.

      here's several ideas for curing leaky gut
      Eat a whole food, nutrient-rich diet that excludes foods which irritate the gut
      Make sure your digestion is working: You can eat a perfect diet, but if you aren’t digesting food appropriately, it is not going to help.
      Discover and remove underlying food sensitivities - eliminate a suspected food for a period of time
      Discover ways to reduce and eliminate stress:eg Prayer, meditation, moderate exercise, adequate sleep, and regular massage
      Consume gut healing foods and nutrients
      Balance the gut flora using appropriate amounts of fermented foods in your diet each day.
      Discover and remove gastrointestinal infections
      Consider the use of gut-irritating medications:
      Lessen exposure to environmental toxins
      Make sure you have plenty sleep and avoid overtraining which are a form of stress to the body.
      (I learned these and the reasons they work from Richala remedy system site )

    This is amazing advice, thank you. I epilate and kept getting nasty angry dark bumps and I’d pick at them... what’s the point of epilating if you are too embarrassed to show your skin? I’m totally clueless, but I’ll try this.

      @@estycki how long have you been epilating? I don't know how long to persist (in hope it keeps improving with the Salicylic acid) before I decide I'm prone to ingrown hairs and its not worth it 😅 haha I don't blame you there!

    • @estycki
      @estycki 4 года назад +1

      @@chloe067 Hmm I think it's been 10 years now, but the first few years were much more difficult. I had a lot of laser hair removal done since I started, so it's gotten a lot easier as I think the amount of hair has decreased by 80%, but the hairs left are still very thick, dark, and prone to being in grown. For my lower legs I exfoliate with a cactus brush in the shower, and when the hair is growing back I use Nair with a razor at least once before epilating again. I find that Nair + razor can loosen the hairs to the surface during regrowth. I'm just not brave enough to use Nair near my bikini line.... it burns like hell on sensitive parts.

    You're gorgeous & I love your videos! I struggle with ingrown hairs! I used to get them a lot when I shaved but for the last 2 years I've been getting Brazilian Bikini Waxes from European Wax Center & I don't get ingrown hairs as often! But I want to eliminate them! I've been using European Wax Center's Ingrown Hair Serum for a couple of years but like I said I was still getting little ingrown hairs. Well, thanks to your video! I think I found a way to eliminate them. I currently use Dove Body Wash & I don't exfoliate so I think changing my body wash & exfoliating will help a lot! Which exfoliant do you receive better results from? The Enzymatic Body Exfoliant or The Body Polish? How often should I use them? I have sensitive & dry skin so I don't want to dry my skin out.

    • @taasharenee
      @taasharenee  8 лет назад +2

      +Carmen W. Hiiii!! Thanks so much for checking out my videos. And I'm glad you go to EWC so you actually have access to the products that I mentioned. As far as which exfoliate I use....in all honesty, I preferred the old exfoliate that EWC had over the new body exfoliate they just came out with. I still have some of the old one so that's what I use, plus the body polish. So I don't use the new one that's there. If you have sensitive dry skin, maybe like 2x a week would be good. Have you tried the body polish? And I also have a video on lightening the bikini area too. So it's a full vagina process lmao

    • @NaturallyCarms

      Taasha Renee I'm just seeing this! My RUclips Notifications shade my life! I've tried the EWC Exfoliant and Body Polish. I'm not a fan of the exfoliant. I wish I was able to try the old formula one that you mentioned in this video. The girls at the front counter at my EWC swear by the exfoliant pads so I bought those at my last wax appointment which was 2 days ago. I'm going to try those and see how I like it. If you come by or know of any really good exfoliants, let your girl know!! I've tried your tips to lighten the bikini area but haven't been consistent with it. I'm determined to become consistent so I can see some real results. Thank you so much for all your tips and being gracious enough to reply to my comment! BTW, good luck on your Loc Journey! • @taasharenee
      @taasharenee  7 лет назад

      +Tiffany Akaniro thank you so much for watching! To answer your question, everyone's skin reacts different to different types of hair removal. For me, personally I used to wax because I just found it more convenient for me as opposed to shaving every other day. But with that, I found that waxing gave me way more ingrowns on my belly and stomach than I had before. So I had laser done and that by far got rid of all my ingrowns as well as lightened and evened the area (the hair removal not so much) but dark spots yes.

      the only think would seriously be consistent exfoliation...that way the dead skin is removed. also if you shave, make sure you go with the hair grown and never against. if you shave against the hair, the hair flips backwards and goes back into the follicle and thats what created the ingrown

    10 TIPS for PREVENTING INGROWN HAIRS:
    1. One pass per area with the razor, 1-2 inches downward at a time, will prevent ingrown hairs.
    2. Avoid too many blades! You don’t need three or more blades.
    3. Pressing too hard on the skin with the blade. A gliding, light touch is all you need.
    4. You should be using a warm/hot water prep (three minutes).
    5. Keep tools as clean as possible with soap, hot water, and rubbing alcohol.
    6. Don't suffocate the hair and pores with thick lotions.
    7. REMEMBER TO EXFOLIATE daily by using a professional ingrown hair brush as directed.
    8. Avoid shaving too often. Alternate with: electric clippers and waxing.
    9. Shave WITH the grain, in the direction of hair growth.
    10. Avoid tight fitting clothing around the Adam’s apple (neck) and/or below the waistline region.

    Thank you for doing this video! I don't have a european wax center in Calgary where I'm from but I did find the serum on amazon. I will buy the neutrogena body wash but could you suggest another exfoliate or polish that I might be able to use if I don't want to make a concoction please? Thank you!

      +Farhan Ony it's always good to prevent them by still exfoliating and using good soaps etc so you never have to worry about getting them because when it comes to treating them it can be a pain.

    The evil tweezers… I also have an evil NEEDLE 😂 then my bikini line looks like a war zone - blood included. Its become compulsive. I exfoliate like a mad woman, I think I have an adequate soap… I didn’t know about the other products though: thank you for that.
    One thing that has helped me heal the scars left by my self butchering is Bio Oil. There’s much less redness in my bikini area.

    You said we should use the Ingrown Hair Serum after a shower. Should we use it before or after moisturizing?

    • @taasharenee
      @taasharenee  7 лет назад +5

      +Vaishali Rajendran you would do it before moisturizing. Your pores will be open and the serum will penetrate right in. If you moisturize first that'll just create a barrier against the serum.

      The european wax center products can only be purchased from the actual wax centers. There are outside retailers selling the products on amazon but i wouldn't trust it because you never know how long they've had the product or if they're even really available. Im working on a new video with more accessible products

    I do a lot of what you said. I don't think my exfoliates are as fancy but I definitively keep a sugar or microbead on hand. I do have filmy soaps though. Dove or play because they're gentle on my sensitive poom. But I will definitely look into neutrogena thanks for the heads up. And like everyone said you are absolutely Gorg😍

    • @taasharenee
      @taasharenee  7 лет назад

      thank you love....sugar scrubs work just as fine for exfoliating. if something works for you, i dont see a reason to change it. I know I mentioned dove but some ppl actually have ok results or not a problem with it, so if it aint broke! you just gotta play around with diff things to see what works! xoxo
