    In case you're like me and keep getting nairs:
    You're actually attack cancelling your tilts so make sure you hit jump before the C-stick.
    (Should be obvious as it's said in the video, but as the timing is pretty tight it might happen on accident.)

    I'm having an extremely hard time performing this. I can't do it at all with my normal grip and jumping options. I do use R to perform attack cancels so I tried to use that as jump instead and it works like 1/20 times. I tend to get this accidentally a lot more when I'm trying to just do an attack cancel bair, but instead, I perform a retreating fair.
    Do you have any suggestions

    • @SnasenSmash
      @SnasenSmash  4 года назад +3

      Traystigo I would suggest practicing it slowly and observe and analyze your every attempt with a few seconds interval between every attempt.
      The main thing is getting the timing with your thumb moving the c-stick a few miliseconds after the jump button.
      Keep trying to get the interval between jumping and flicking more and more tight and after awhile you will develop correct muscle memory for it, especially if you take your time and don’t rush it. Hope this helps!

    So it actually necessary to input the cstick in the two frames after jump, or can it be done at the same time? Because realistically, I think the fastest you’d be able to move the stick to the housing is one frame, then back to center/neutral would be another frame. So that would be
    Frame1: Start holding jump
    Frame2: Hit housing with cstick
    Frame 3: Have cstick back at center/neutral by the end of this frame.
    That’d require a frame perfect cstick input the very next frame after jumping. Are you sure you can’t cstick at the same time as jump? Like this:
    Frame1: Hold jump & Cstick hits housing
    Frame 2: Return stick to center/neutral by end of frame
    Frame3: Frame allowance for polling issues. That would make the Jump>Cstick frame window from 1 to 2, which would make it more practical and prevent polling issues.

    • @SnasenSmash
      @SnasenSmash  3 года назад

      Cstick and jump at same frame becomes an attack cancel. But you can hold the cstick for 2 frames or be 1 frame late if You flick for 1 frame

    • @SnasenSmash

      Cstick can return on 4th frame too

    • @dagingerbreadman70
      @dagingerbreadman70 3 года назад

      @@SnasenSmash If cstick was still traveling to center during the start of the fourth frame it would be active for the 4th frame (first frame in the air). You’d need the stick to be neutral before the 4th frame started, otherwise the cstick would be read.

    • @SnasenSmash

      @@dagingerbreadman70 exactly. So the stick is flicked on 2nd frame and does not need to return before third. It can be active on third too, but needs to return before the 4th frame hits. Which means you can also flick on 3rd frame, but it needs to return within the frame. It’s doable too unless your controller has some big snapback issues

    As far as I can tell this has nothing to do with flicking the c-stick, it's about inputting the aerial after jump squat is over or inputting jump the frame after pressing a direction. Whenever I press jump before any direction and press C-Stick during jump squat, no matter if I let go before first airborne frame I still slide forward. If I press direction before jump OR press the c-stick after jump squat is over, it doesn't matter if I flick or hold, it will give the result of full momentum aerial like you showed.
    In order to prove that your tech is actually real, would you be able to show yourself performing buffered f-airs/b-airs in place without moving backwards or forwards? Because otherwise this is just *not* buffering.
    Sorry if it seems I am rude, I have just been labbing this for about 15 mins and can't get a single one where I feel it was actually buffered and not just me timing the inputs in a way where I wouldn't be able to if it was buffered.
    PS: I am even testing on a keyboard that allows me to do 1 frame inputs, so I got that covered by the way.

    • @SnasenSmash
      @SnasenSmash  4 года назад +1

      Chiroz I appreciate your criticism, no worries. You don’t come off as rude to me 😁.
      The video is in 60fps, you can check frame by frame that it is frame perfect aerials without drift many times in a row and the training mode proves that I am moving in 1x speed. I would not be able to do this without the aerial buffering out of jump squat (or it would take a really long time to make all those clips)
      I’ve tested this in many ways and there are also clips on twitter with others practicing the tech successfully using the instructions.
      I also do many bairs towards the end without moving, also the fact that fox uair autocancels is proof of frameperfect action.
      I’m not sure why it does not work out in your case, but without seeing exactly what you do, I can’t recommend doing anything else than doing exactly as I describe in the video 😅
      I can assure you 110% this tech works exactly as I explain it ☺️ this is also not my first tech discovery

    • @chiroz6464
      @chiroz6464 3 года назад

      @@dagingerbreadman70 I can do it on frame by frame and also on lower speeds (even 2/3) on training mode, but I have never been able to get it on normal speed even with a keyboard controller. You must hold the input only for 1-2 frames, so it might just be me sucking at it. This isn't widely used at top levels of play yet, I am unsure if it's because the input is really hard, as it seems like it would be a useful thing to do.
      There are other techniques to get momentum that's different from your aerial, but this is by far the most useful one (since it doesn't require a prior commitment like dashing) which makes it the more curious that I don't see this used all the time.

    • @dagingerbreadman70
      @dagingerbreadman70 3 года назад

      @@epicnerf1 The spring actually wouldn’t effect this I believe 🤔. The spring does less for travel time then it does for preventing the joystick from overshooting as it snaps back. As far as it returning to center (or beyond) from a flick, the largest contributing factor would be the elastic collision between the joystick and housing; that is, the joystick bouncing off the housing already makes controllers move *towards* neutral faster. A stronger spring actually would make it more difficult to move the joystick away from center, reducing speed and the resulting bounce off of the housing.
