After many rounds, switching players between attacker and defender, the attacker always wins by sheer numbers. The best that can be done as a defender is to end with an epic stalemate.

Is it possible to be played by 5 players and that it is allowed for each player to confront each other? That would be interesting.

I'm not sure if I understand this question correctly, but I think it would be fun to play this game in a tournament-like setting in which you can challenge any player.

You could play with 5 players, with the attacking forces already devided into 4 clans surrounding the king and defenders. However, the attackers and defenders still have to alternate turns. So the individual attackers would have to wait every fourth turn to move. But it can be done. Interesting take on this game.

Sounds like Tolkien's battle of five armies!👍

what do you do if black just baracades all for corners? You can't capture any of the pieces so is it just game over?

Sacrafice forcing black to open up their position

Yeah. That’s game. If it’s impossible for the king to reach any of the 4 corners it’s a lose

Block off not adjacent but tangent corners first

I believe the board is supposed to be 11 by 11 but yours is 13 by 13

indeed, is seems to be a bit different from the other sets

Nobody knows exactly how the game looked or was played. Boards are either 11x11 or 13x13.

@@Jeffrey.e well, since this game is new to me (I've literally discovered it yesterday by accident), maybe you know the story behind it? I mean, was it discovered like the game of ur? Or was it just described in some old texts, and that's why we're unsure about some details?

@@FlamingToaster Great questions! I'm no expert but, from what I've found, archaeologists discovered pieces of game boards dating back to the 8th century. Some text has also been found describing the game. But like all old things, we only have bits and pieces so we are really just guessing. Also, it wouldn't be unheard of to have two different boards. Say one viking played it for the first time, loved it, then tried to make his own board but he couldn't remember how many squares so it turned out to be a bit larger. It's not entirely outside the realm of possibility.

@@Jeffrey.e thanks, this really cleared a bit few things for me; anyway, seems like i'm going on an internet adventure to find out more!

Since this game is older than Chess it could possibly be shopping missions since they've been spending counterfeit money since time immemorial. Then for censored frontends online at the end the fat lesbian could scarf down all the food he risked life and limb to steal.

I’m looking at this game as a good analogy for Ukraine vs Russia, with Zelensky as the king.

That dwarf is no king. He's more of a con man leading people to slaughter. He hides in safety while demanding money from other countries. Using emotional blackmail & propaganda. He gets richer by causing people suffer. This is true for both countries! And most governments unfortunately.
