Linklight returns to the workshop for Rivals of Aether which gives you access to custom new characters or mods! In this video I check out Goku made by Muno! Muno has a really great track record of awesome characters and this was no exceptions. The animations and moveset was a blast!

IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAND
From seeing his moveset, a lot of moves take reference to Base form gokus moves in the game called Dragon Ball FighterZ. Mostly his normals and arieals take some inspiration of those moves while his down smash is the 3rd hit of his auto combo in the game.
It says on the steam page that the moveset is FighterZ inspired
Yea it's a mix of baseku and ssj goku
It's literally all his moves
DBFZ reference list:
Jab: 5LMH
Ftilt: 5S (ki blast)
Dtilt: 2M
Utilt: First hit is second hit of auto combo (5LL), second hit is 2S
Dash attack: 236L
Neutral Special: 236S (Kamehameha)
Side Special: Superdash
Up special: It's not one of his moves but he uses it in Kaioken
Down special: 236L+M (Kaioken)
Fsmash: 236M/H but without the backdash
Dsmash: Third hit of auto combo (5LLL)

Fun fact about this Goku: when you transform depending on the input you do the transformation is gonna be different
for example if you press your jump button Goku is gonna turn into a super sayan god

It does not change anything but the sprites, but you can go ultra instinct on the enemies, so that' nice

Muno makes some pretty pog characters, so it was awesome to see them be the first to make a non-sprite rip Goku.
The hyped confusion of seeing Goku being made by Muno in the 2Prints Direct back in September was amazing.

1:45 just an FYI, the first alt is based on Vegito (Goku/Vegeta fusion), and the 3rd is based on Gohan (i think). Great vid!
It’s based on xeno goku or teen goku.(teen goku had a red and black gi I believe)

Goku is so fun! Super Saiyan changes his up B to lock on to the opponent when their in hitstun, which gives him some Bayonetta-esque combos, it's so cool!
Muno always makes bangers, he's actually revealing his next character today so I'm very excited to see that!
Btw after up b, if you're fast enough, you can do down air or Neutral special, this Goku is heavily based of Fighterz Base Goku's moveset... which mean down-tilt down-tilt to up-b down-air is a combo.

I can see that there were alot of dbfz inspired moves and the combat is really satisfying, I would really like to see some crazy combos with goku since his moveset is just amazing
We dragon Ball fans can't bug you for not remembering some things. Even the creator of the series has forgotten entire characters existed
Fun fact when you made an imput when you transform in super sayan you can be ssj2, ssj3, ssj god, ssj god blue and ultra instinct and in super sayan god, blue, ui you got an extra ability try it!
This kinda reminds me of the Super Smash Flash 2 moveset

i designed the moveset
also different SSJ forms+UI(but only visual changes between them becuase balance)
SSJ3: Dspecial+Attack
SSJGod: Dspecial+Jump
SSJBlue: Dspecial+Jump+Parry
UI: Dspecial+Parry
the alts:
Defaullt, Vegito, end of OG DB, Tien colors, very first Gi Goku had in the whole series of ep. 1 of OG DB, Goku Black(comes with SSJrose), Freezer, just white/yellow, Majin buu, Piccolo
and then 2 extra alts. to fill out the "2" extra for muted voice
the other 20 alts is the same but not muted but instead english voice or japanese voice
taunt+A+B vs. 100% characters/ronalds & etc. = True UI for basically a free win vs. them
Beam Clash can work with mods that supports it aswell (not many right now but lets hope more can come) so more than just Goku dittos can do it
Goku vs. a future mod of Vegeta could be able to do it as a example

@@NanachL- there isn't an above , it's just the style. If you can transform , you can for example turn into ultra instinct goku if you click down+special+shield

the inverted skins arent really a reference, but i think the second-to-last one is a reference to Krillin, AKA Kuririn in the manga
all I have to say is I like the attention to detail with the beam clash
This goku can also use the super spirit bomb but you need to have a specific abyss abyss rune equipped
the first purple and white one i believe is adult gohan or teen gohan because in other games that same color combination is in other dbz games as well
It feels like ssf2 goku, but updated

I have no clue what the purple haired alt was referencing but I think the all tan one probably references krillin.
As a dbfz player, I got base goku flashbacks from that moveset
2 rivals related random questions, 1: did you know that in that official rivals stage where orby is in the background & taunt after a kill, orby gives you're opponent a tip, which 1 is random though & 2 did you know that you can remove the runes slots limit by putting in the konami (or conami (don't know how you spell it)) code exept instead of B A select start its either B A B or B A B A? if you for some reason wanna bring the limit back though you have to restart the game, also to remove the runes limit you have to use the code while abyss mode is on
You never showed the genkidama (spirit bomb) basically use down b in super saiyan form, I’m pretty sure it does more damage the sooner you use it.
inverted default seems to be referencing Vegito (Potara Fusion of Goku and Vegeta)

I guess that black & red but inverted is meant to be goku black since either super saiyan 1 or blue is in that color super saiyan rosé
You missed out the second character if you put goku back costume on you get different move set
As a Goku ssj main in dbfz, I'm glad to see he has a lot of those moves

While doing instant transmission you can use NSpecial and do Instant Transmission Kamehameha!

Ronald Is the final boss of dragon ball mac
You missed the other transformations
You took a stock off ronald at his 1% power
he then amped up to 2% and proceeded to own you
may of been removed or something as you didnt see it but he also has the spirit bomb in his kit though its a mini one and it takes away your super saiyain from what i saw of it though it auto tracks and is a great combo starter
Auto track is pretty trash tho
Still, when it hit, it goes up and then down, so it's technically an edgeguard move

Hi you’ve probably gotten a lot of comments like this before but I noticed that you test out the characters by plugging in a different controller in battle mode and I was wondering why you don’t just go into practice mode also I saw in your older videos you plug in a different controller to add cpu and I don’t know if you still do that but I was confused because when I play I don’t have to because there’s a button but you probably knew that stuff and have a reason or they updated the game sense than ( referring to the adding a controller thing and the video I watched were you did that) sorry for all the reading and thank you if you do read it
