      You are so right.
I respect The WHO for trying to move on....
Led Zeppelin knew that without Bonham, they would never be the same.
Although, I did see the WHO in 1999...at the MGM. Ringo Starr's son played the drums. I have learned that Starr's son, did have time learning drums, as a boy, with Keith...
That concert was good....and Starr did better than any of their replacements...
2 years later, they returned to Las Vegas....on to The Hard Rock in Las Vegas.....the night they were to perform...THE OX, died...RIP Keith & John Entwistle....

    There are many great drummers...
But still to this day, Keith Moon is the best drummer that ever lived.....in his words, he painted his kit.....
Moon was the first & only frontline vocal drummer....RIP Keith....no other drummer has ever matched his artistry on drums..❤ over 46 years ago, he died...💔

Interesting- Bargain isn’t what I consider a drum forward Who track- more a journeyman rhythm. However Moon bucks critics with perfect rhythm throughout the front end of the song. ( and the last verse slow down I believe was intended to create anticipation). What really stands out is that adrenaline his confident fills cause in the listener. Not just clear and quick- Keith magically imbues them with a dark emotional intensity

As teenager learning drums my mom bought me Full Moon for Christmas, a biography of the man. At the time I idolized him. In retrospect I think he was a reprobate and the more we as a society remove ourselves from the promoted degeneracy like him the better we will be.

You can judge his character if you like, but he gave something special to the world, and art is an important and significant part of human culture. Few things, besides necessities are more valuable. If you look at him when he plays, you can see he is trying to share pure love with the audience

@@eddieshif How many kids became addicts or dead in the gutter by emulating him. Oh, so sorry for the dead kids but lets listen to this lick. This culture, you speak of, was created by the PTB for the intended purpose of of corrupting a whole generation of youth. And it worked. I was included, but I woke up. He literally died trying to get sober, knowing what he was doing is wrong.
