The BEST Athlete Of Every Decade In Sports - Спорт
The title should be changed to "The best Americans athletes of every decade in Sports"
Gretzky is Canadian
Honestly...
@@carlkarabo2273 No…
Americans has won 3 times more gold than any other country in the Olympics so of course they have the best athletes of all time.
@@SuperMuiscLibrary it’s juste the best athlete of the most popular sport in the US.
Pelé best in 60s, Maradona in 80s, Bolt in 2000s, Messi in 2010s
Nobody cares of basketball in the rest of the world in 60s, with all the respect that i have for Bill Russell. Same for NFL or baseball, nobody cares around the world except Japanese for baseball. It’s an american standpoint
I'm not a huge sports fan but even I know some names that weren't mentioned:
Usain Bolt - fastest man EVER
Michael Phelps - athlete with the most olympic gold medals EVER
Floyd Mayweather - NEVER lost a fight professional boxing
Valentino Rossi - widely considered one of the best riders EVER
Lewis Hamilton & Michael Schumacher - some of the most dominant f1 drivers of all time!
Mike Tyson - yeah sure he lost a few but most boxers agree that in his prime he was unbeatable
mayweather is undefeated cause he was featherweight division where not really good players were
Manny Pacquiao - 8 division world champion
I bet. If Usain bolt were american they would put him in the same level of Michael jordan or Muhammad Ali.
@@yuribatista7268 every champion had the drive to win, but Jordan had a toxic obsession with it. Becoming a champion in races took only a few runs. In boxing, just One fight. In bball, it takes months. Ali and Bolt are no where close as competitive as Jordan was.
Eluid Kipchoge the greatest athlete ever
Michael Phelps should be a honorable mention either in the 00's or the 10's, dude legit won 23 gold medals at the olypics.

im not a big mike tyson fan, but not putting him in is just a very stupid mistake

let me know if i am wrong but in the 2010's wasn't the fastest man ever blazing down the 100 and 200m strips on a track?
While I agree with the sentiment that Usain Bolt should be here, "the fastest man ever" ran pretty much every decade, and I'm sure Bolt's records will be broken as well.
@@big8dog887 ya i know that his records wont be there forever but as of now he's #1 :)
Is this only for Americans because Ronaldo would be for the rest of the world

I think that was the 2000s
Kareem deserved am honorable mention for the 70's
😭 underated
Kareem is the G.O.A.T
He literally scored 30 or more points for 3 straight seasons and scored 20 or more every season in the 70's

@@davidchen2866 look at his stats. He was the best basketball player of that decade.
i mean theres others athletes that are better so

@UCVLTS3b-23QZYX-RE6xTlMw Why are footballers (soccer players) getting honorable mentions then? I don't really get it maybe somebody can explain
who would you pick for every decade?
Gretzky?
Fyi kid. Pele is Brazilian and Gretzky is Canadian.
Pele Ali Carl Lewis Jordan tiger woods messi is the correct list
No way Lebron was the GOAT of the 2010s. Messi and Ronaldo’s feats in that decade are unmatched
Bruh LeBron is 6-9 260 moving like 5-9 180 guy with still his strength come on man
@@Airi_Iwin then why didn't the 80s go to magic or larry but instead go to gretzky? magic is 6'9 , 220. gretzky is 6'0 and 180. so basically the height and weight and other BS dont matter in this discussion. its about accomplishments and importance in the sport in that decade. and 2010s was definitely Messi and ronaldo's decade.

Maradona is the best in 80's, for sure.
Where are Kareem, Sampras, Rod Laver, Phelps, Usain Bolt, Tim Duncan, there are so, so many athletes missing..

Such a specific topic. I love it.
Hard to believe Kareem never made nor any of the crazy dominant tennis players and 'a zillion' others. But, the thing to ask yourself when trying to pick a handful of athletes from ALL sports for an entire decade is who would you drop from the ones selected? We could all grow old including all the 'honourable mentions' we could come up with...
Michael Schumacher should have a mention in the 2000's
No
Who?
Fax and senna in the 80s
Tim Duncan should've been honorable mention in the 00's & Mike Tyson should've been honorable mention in the 80's
And so is Manny Pacquiao who is also dominant in boxing in the decade 2000s
