- Florida Georgia Line said their goodbyes on August 31st, 2022. Florida Georgia line is done and Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley will now completely focus on their solo projects. Before making their final exit as the duo, Florida Georigia Line gave a beautiful and emotional speech to the fans.

@@Rad_Dad87 I think Brian Kelley’s EP and debut album are pretty good. Tyler Hubbard’s new single sounds more country but it’s lyrics are sorta in line with the kind they made as a duo.
Cruise was the first “country”song I ever listened to when I was 5 years old. They were my first concert ever when I was 10 years old. Today I’m 15 years old and I’m trying my hardest to smile cause it happened.

Brian Kelly’s solo music is also very good.

It was truly a blessing I got to see FGL when they came too Iowa and played at University of Northern Iowa Dome a few years ago. They where literally my favorite duo. I literally grew up listening to them I graduated in 2012 to live some of those songs. I own all there cds memorized alot of there songs. They where my first songs played when I was learning guitar. I hope the best for both and hope they can do some work as individuals on each other's work. Thank you FGL ❤️

Whether its as FGL or as solos, this was bitter sweet. They were incredible together and both are amazing as solos. All the continued best to both. They got me into country/country pop. Its all I listen to now. That's pretty powerful.
It’s always amazing that duets wants to sing solo so that at any time they can come back together to sing on each other’s albums and they can always come back together as many duets feel the need to do. These days with one Left and one Right it's hard to meet in the Middle.
It’s been coming. They have been having a hard time putting out well received music in a competitive country genre. They really tried over the years. But prior to that certainly great albums and collaborations! I never get tired of those records. As an FGL Lifer I saw them three times and the live shows were always fantastic high energy! I will miss them together!!!

I have no doubt theyll eventually reunite to do some kind of tribute tour if not get back together, which may be 5-10 years down the line but it will happen. i never did get to see them live and i guess i assumed id eventually get around to it. i still have faith tho that theyll play together again and they just need a break.
They were pretty good as a duo, but I'm not fooled.............Sounds to me like one is a liberal and one is a conservative. I know Tyler tried to squash that rumor but as polarized as this nation is and the fact that was the initial rumor; I'd say it has some merit to it being true.
my thoughts exactly. Gotta wonder some day at the end of the day if it will truly have been worth it too them to express their political views. I did on my Facebook page because I thought I had an almost religious duty to do so. All it did for me was to cause me my two oldest and best friends. There is truth in the old adage that it is best to not ever discuss religion or politics.

February 2022, Hubbard and Kelley announced they will be "taking a break" from recording music together and will be on an indefinite hiatus from touring after several live shows they have booked in 2022. it says nothing about a break up

I realize that groups and duo's have their beginning and their end yet......i can't help but to be profoundly saddened by the news of this fabulous duo very possibly breaking up for good!!.....almost feels like a death or a divorce! I had come to really enjoy Florida-Goergia Line and am very sad to know that this wonderful collaboration has come to an end!!
I guess things like this are just a part of life! God Bless them both as they pursue their individual careers and God Bless their growing families as well!!
So many bands and groups go their own ways instead of continuing the formula that made them rich and famous. We'll see how this works out.

their music sounds pretty country compared to actual pop music that I know of. great song examples to help support my statement are Maren Morris ft. Zedd ‘Meet Me in the Middle’ and FGL’s ‘Get your Shine On’. Meet Me in the Middle is dance pop and Get your shine On is country pop. the difference that it makes is that country pop was originally made as the Nashville sound in the 60s and it was formed by Chet Atkins and Owen Bradley which is what clearly makes that genre country

The other kinds of country music that people enjoy are country pop, country rock, Americana, bluegrass, outlaw country, Texas country etc; all those genres are categorized in the country music genre to make country music, country. There’s plenty of genres of country to enjoy and if you choose only one, that’s fine cause like what I said there’s plenty of country music for people to love
