I'm 66 years old and have been driven by the "call of the wild" my whole lifetime. Now days, when my older bones and muscles are aching and saying hey just take it easy. Cam gets so much hate simply because people feel threatened and minimized by his work ethic, skills, and dedication that they have to judge and criticize him in order to feel somewhat significant compared to him. One of my BIGGEST inspirations. I read Backcountry Bowhunting and knew that I NEEDED to try out backpack hunting, specifically with archery equipment. Just pulled off my first backcountry archery elk hunt this past September. Bowhunting now gives me even more of a reason to stay in shape and get better at my craft. Thanks Cam.

other than those super adjustable bows what compound bow can you work on in depth without a bow press? and its not hard to buy a cheap bow press like the bowmaster portable press

The dumbest part is you did not even ask a question. Most people, including myself, miss the first few animals they see bow hunting due to adrenaline dump. Takes muscle to draw back my 70lb bow, and when you have adrenaline dump, it feels like 150lbs. That is his point about training.

Nice. I like how you made a statement with a passive aggressive question. To answer your passive aggressive question, no. However, deer and elk have heightened senses, like dogs. They hear, smell and see better than humans - Google it. They also move a lot faster through the woods and over uneven terrain. THEY (deer, elk, etc.) have the advantage over humans in their environment - especially when it comes to bow hunting. If you eat beef, pork or any other meet found in the freezer at your local grocer, that animal was slaughtered in a slaughterhouse. It was marched single file to it's inevitable demise. A hunted animal has a chance at living another day. The deer did not know it was part of a sport, but it did have the environmental advantage, and, unlike slaughterhouse animals, the ability to live another day.
