I'm not the best, but I remember my dad watching me shoot and hit targets at distance with my recurve and he said, "Well, at least I know you won't go hungry." It is a good feeling.

I picked up my first compound bow just a year ago - a 400 dollar PSE starter bow. I found John through Joe Rogan, as so many others, and I went through his beginners classes youtube videos, over and over and over. He taught me how to adjust my draw length, draw weight and scope. Today, I confidently land 90 % of all arrows within a 10 inch diameter, at 30+ yards, with just basic beginners equipment at hand. I never had a coach. I never went to a club. I never had any help outside of John Dudley. I hope he knows how much he helps people all around the world. Much much appreciated🙏 /from Sweden

Sounds dumb but I have a pretty bad addiction to weed. Started in highschool been graduated 2 years now and havent missed a day of getting high. Currently attempting to stop and this was one of the hobbies my dad mentioned I pick up. I've always thought bows were dope and preferred them to guns but just never got my own. Awesome to hear you got sober and are having fun with archery!

Dudley is a great seller. You don't even notice the ads when watching his content. Amazing in my point of view. In addition, he managed to resell the Carter Evolution release as a new release by cutting of the third finger. Brilliant! That's innovation at it's best. He is a true selling legend.

I remember when I was young they taught archery in junior high with a fiberglass long bow with a plastic handle. That was 58 years ago. I got pretty good with it and dad bought me my first and only recurve Fred Bear bow, 32 lb draw weight. I must have shot a hundred arrows a day. One day dad brought home a bow for him. It was a 48 lb draw weight Fred Bear recurve. He would come home from work and shoot 1 arrow, then put his bow up. Every day he did the same thing. One day I asked him why he only shot 1 arrow. He told me you only get one shot, it has to be right. We hunted with bows before it got popular in the mid 80’s. Loved hunting with my dad. I know how this guy feels!

To echo's Rogan's sentiment in this video, Dudley is undoubtedly the most influential figure in modern archery. Fundamentals and tactics used to be debated or kept secret. Dudley has put his experience out there for the world to learn from and it' had the direct effect of doubling and even tripling the effective range of the average archer who puts these teachings to work.

WOW! A Military Brat! I knew there was something special about you! I was a BRAT from '77-91" then I was a Marine from '91-97. Now I am building a national then international cooperative for total military food security via local veterans! Mob farming, transport, slaughterhouse then delivery - all by veterans and their families! Did I mention there is a hunting ground with deep discounts for active duty, veterans, and first season hunters? I will eventually be financially secure enough to help those who wish to enter hunting (archery) that don't have the means to do so! Each one teaches one!! At 6'6" and 350+, I have struggled to find equipment or even someone knowledgeable enough to teach someone of my size. I currently have Barry Hall of Newbury Archery in Goshen, CT. Problem is, I live just outside of Boston! And my hunting buddy currently resides between KS and MD! I'm all alone up here! But I put in the time and I'm learning on my own with input from your videos and mistakes I make. After hunting men (I was a HOG in the Corps after being a PIG at long distances) I wanted a challenge in hunting. No greater challenge than a front-row seat in hunting. Up close and personal. Thank you for all that you do! Semper Fi!

I actually went as cheap as possible and bought a sit drag to couple with my muddy harness and attached a couple camo poncho bags to it to carry my ropes and made my own DIY saddle that I am anxious to try out this bow season. I have already climbed some trees with it and I am very pleased with how easy and fast it is to get in the tree and how versatile it is. Also I carry three of the longer lone wolf sticks with the seat off my lone wolf assault attached to the top of my third stick as my platform. Its tons lighter and faster so I am hoping to have success with it this season. Wish me luck!!

Only bow I ever shot was in the scouts 40 years ago and one day a Dudley/TAC video popped up as a RUclips suggestion. It was the hight of the COVID lockdowns, I am self employed so my stress level already was off the charts and loosing gyms, bike parks, +trails were so full I could not ride local either... I needed to find something to do! Watched a few more of his videos and decided I wanted to try archery and specifically go to Total Archery Challenge so I order a new old stock Elite and some arrows... With his videos and lots of practice I did much better than I had imagined I could in such a short time....only lost/broke 3 arrows doing Leupold and YETI twice each the weekend I was at the PA TAC (one of the broken arrows was the Iron novelty shoot :) ) I now have 3 bows, and I will doing my 3rd TAC in August, joining our local archery club... went from using all of a 36" bail at 50 yards to hitting a paper plates at 100 yards from doing Dudley school of nock.

Literally can't stand Toe Rogan but respect you sir. The reason I commented, when you said you left the USA team because the league changed schedules to overlap elk hunting season. Brother... Mad respect.
