Correct. I only did work on the Sega Genesis version and it was to help make the audio sound as best and crisp as possible. Genesis clearly wins this audio battle. :) And yes... I'm biased! :D

Never felt strongly about them either way personally, but without them, I realize that they had a nice soft charm to them. Hope they make a return one day! As always, love the videos. Something something three seashells. Great video as always! Always interesting to see into a game I never played (...then again, it's also interesting to see stuff about a game I have played too...).
leegsy Same as Saturn, only with proper shadows/transparencies. PS1 still the best of all. Maybe the no-loading patch on PC got its way on the final sentence, but again, PS1 is the original, the rest are all ports.
As far as those two ports go, I'd have to give it to SNES. But I think we can all agree, the Neo Geo AES port is the closest to arcade perfect, since, you know... it's a direct arcade port!
Graphics = Tie. Some stuff missing in both games. Both still look great, though. Presentation = Nintendo. Just slightly better. Enough said. Sound = Sega. The muffled sounds and voice-overs do suck on SNES. The music is a tie, though. Gameplay = Tie. Screen resolution doesn't count too much at all. Faster gameplay can make the game more fun. There is something that makes the SNES superior, cheat codes. Genesis only has 1 code (I believe). SNES has several. Better game is for the SNES.
I've got no idea about that hint, but I'm going to guess that is the show "Lost" and I'm not american so I'll have to guess that team is called "The Vikings"? So is it Lost Vikings?
Yeah, that's gotta be it. I was thinking "crowd football" or "group football" which I knew was very wrong. I wasn't thinking about the actual team name, and I'm not a sports fan anyway.
I've only played Sega version back then. I kinda liked those muffled SNES sounds, shooting sounds more powerful. I think I need to find SNES version and try it myself.
Lol your Sylvester Stallone impersonation was pretty spot on! I love it!! While I am happy that Sega won... again... there were a few things I felt weren't justified. For example, better use of color for Super Nintendo? That's debatable. Super Nintendo's colors are a little more bright, while the Genesis captured the apocalyptic looking levels slightly more faithfully. Also, the 3-picture ending cutscene gives the Super Nintendo the edge? Unless you saw the movie, you'd have no idea what is happening there. Oh well, those are merely nitpicks. The episode was still really good, especially at the end. Can't wait til next time!!!

I played the 32x version in a rental store later, it looks a bit better, runs faster, but it's missing content and still sucks. The first playable console version of Doom is for the PlayStation.
Originally, I thought SNES was gonna win because of how much better it looked... how wrong I was. I never noticed how BAD the SNES version sounded! Mega Drive/Genesis version sounds a LOT more clearer and crispier. You can barely tell what you can hear on the SNES version. Slowdown on SNES was expected, but I also didn't think it would be THAT slow... just wow. This video is just proof that Gameplay > Graphics always.
