Awesome photographs. I am 79 yrs old with slight mobility issues, but while watching you climb, I could sense a feeling of vertigo creeping in. Well done and glad you kept yourself safe.
Some great images Gary, the light down the valley and the clouds looked fantastic..I also enjoy getting in really tight to waterfalls and picking out details with the long long, really liked the compositions you picked out. Glad you didn't venture right to the top as it looked to sketchy, no image is worth getting injured for, apart from the odd blister or two on the feet 👍
In pursuit of originality you are becoming an expert on off piste with a health warning. You are a must watch and a very engaging personality. My favourite images this time are the ones with you in which demonstrates scale . Cheers Gary .
Your photography takes my breath away and these images are no exception. Once upon a time I would have been right behind you on that climb but now I am 77 (not so steady on my feet) I have to live my adventures through you. Thank you for sharing.
Another great video Gary. What a fantastic waterfall. Definitely not worth risking death to get closer to the falls. Don't know about crampons on the rocks though. Absolutely stunning image's and i couldn't really pick a favourite as i liked them all. Look forward to the next one.
Wow, awesome video and awesome shots. Living life on the ragged edge is fun, but like someone wise once told me, when you play you eventually have to pay.
Fabulous shots Gary. I know that hillside and waterfall very well from my youth. It is steep, exposed and a no slip/fall area up at the top. Great video, stay safe. Cheers, Robert.
Another great video , i particularly like the monochrome shots of the top waterfall . Well balanced advice there Gary , you have to get off the well trodden path to get a different view / composition/ angle than the masses who take the same shot from the place in the easy spot , BUT ... discretion is the better part of valour, they say . The need for a unique shot has to be tempered with common sense and self-preservation .
The close-in abstracts of the cascading water are brilliant. Definitely do not need to risk anything more, and even if your image from the top was not a banger, you got yourself a spectacular viewpoint that probably very few have reached.
Thank you for great videos, great shots (they were all great in this video), and great inspiration! We've got some spectacular landscape in Norway, but you've got nothing to be ashamed about in Britain either 👍👍👍!
Lovely selection of images Gary and look forward to saying hello to you on Saturday at Birmingham. Also picking up a new NiSi filter system when I'm there as well
Stunning images Gary, particularly the BnW! You managed the climb with the agility of a mountain goat.......awesome. My feet tingled watching you. Huge thanks for another fantastic video!
Arh you are a brave man, beyond my capabilities. However WOW your efforts were rewarded, big time. As a Nikon FF shooter I would agree about the 24-120mm F4 lens. I mainly shoot with that or primes on 2 bodies. Thank you for sharring your hair curling, stomach turning journey.
Greetings from Southern part of India, called Bangalore, Garry. What a wonderful hike and the magnificent pix! Loved it and laughed a lot through this vdo! It really elevated my mood. Thanks for sharing this beautiful vdo. 😍🙏🏻
Ha Ha. I see you adopted my tip about wearing crampons! Epic video. I love the shot with the rising sunlight kissing the top of the cascade. Kudos to you for knowing when to stop climbing & not needing a helicopter ride back.
@GaryGough I went up the waterfall it's self, but came back over the top the way you went up, if you go higher up you can drop down into it, it does cut into the view of the valley a bit though 👍🏻 ruclips.net/video/-EQbYTH5qYw/видео.htmlsi=fUrqJ87lbEK-7boI
Beautiful shots! I wonder if a drone shot is possible on that last spot? Always like the fresh perspective but as the proverb says, better is a live dog than a dead lion. We had a photographer die here a while back trying a shot from the top of a waterfall.
Great video as usual, and I know you like showing us amazing places, would you have considered using the drone with a 1000nd filter on, at least that way you could have got a shot in safety
Hi Gary, exelent video as always ! I have a question about masks in Adobe Lightroom that I think you might be able to answer: The "white balance selector" is only available in the basis panel for for the entire image, and NOT within a mask - so how do you set the white balance within e.g. a object mask or a mask made with a brush ? E.g. I often do photos of shoes, and in the post I select the shoes with a mask to fine-tune colors, but I would realy love to have a white balance selector here - but theres isn't one ! ;-)
I could have but you can't get to where I went to from the path. I intended to come back down that way but I couldn't. Plus, walking up a path isn't as much fun. Safer granted 😁😁
As we would say - total nutter!😂 That said, a brilliant video, and some stunning images, especially the b&w close ups! A question if I may, do you ever shoot water/falls at a fast shutter speed to freeze motion?😀
Not really no. I would do of course, if I thought the motion would look good frozen. Small waterfalls tend to be boring when frozen. Just my opinion of course 👍👍
I'm not sure the cramp on's or hiking poles where of much use. Perhaps you'd have been better off with a grappling hook and a rope. 😂 All said a done nice one mate, there's no shame in trying and you did the right thing if you didn't feel comfortable.
Awesome photographs. I am 79 yrs old with slight mobility issues, but while watching you climb, I could sense a feeling of vertigo creeping in. Well done and glad you kept yourself safe.
Nice one Gary good to see you keeping safe no image is worth killing yourself. Amazing as always thanks for sharing.
Great video as always Gary. You are definitely an inspiration to us more "mature" photographers.
Thank you xx
as always, fabulous photos and brilliant location 🌟
Thank you xx
Great video with some very good tips on composition and use of the polarising filter. I especially liked the pic at 12.20. Thanks Gary.
Great video and photographs Gary, hope to see you on Sunday.😃

The abstract ones are amazing
Great video as always. Keep on climbing…hills only get steeper and gravity stronger as we age.
lol so true 😁😁
Well done mate stunning photos you got down safely
Cheers Andy 👍👍

Hi Gary, Don't tell me you were alone for this journey to the top ! Youa re definitely not a "lazy photographer" ! Great moment! Thanks !
I have no friends, of course I was alone :) 😁😁
Thank you for taking us a long on your adventures Gary. Always inspiring and I love the waterfall images. Keep on trekking and may God bless you.
Cheers Mark 👍👍
Think I will keep to the flatlands of East Anglia and watch your adventures and photography, I will feel and be a lot safer😊
As always Greg useful tips, a couple there I need to try using, thanks 👍

They're spikey things. It was more for the muddy climb further up. Cheers 👍👍
Thats a great location and wise to not take any risks 👍🙂
Lovely looking set of falls, I might have to visit one day. Will say Hi at the show on Sunday if I get a chance!
It's worth a visit and looking forward to saying hi 👍👍

Good job Gary and great abstracts.

That's weird, I closed mine too :)

Well done Gary, spectacular work
The close-ups are beautiful. They resemble „white lava“ streaming across black rocks. I really like it. ❤❤❤ …. Cheers😊
Cheers 👍👍
Absolutely awesome photographs! Thanks for making the huge effort to get them…and thanks for taking me along!
Beautiful
Great footage Gary, and beautiful pictures too. Cheers
Cheers Martin 👍👍
Definitely epic and I will definitely have to visit that location next time I'm in the Lakes.
It's definitely worth a visit 👍👍
I really enjoy your video's. Thank you for not dying😉
Very risky Gary, everything is wet and slippery. But thumbs up 👍. Star Save.
I like the way you always go the extra mile Gary, so to speak

Good one again Gary, honest, straightforward and with results and explanations which work for me anyway. Stay at the top!
Thanks 👍

All for effect :)
Nice waterfall photos. Congrats on getting almost 100K subs and all your success. Such a great photographer.
Very kind, thank you. Still a long way to go though 👍👍
Very risky, but you got awesome pictures.
Cheers Oscar 👍👍
VERY GOOD...
Cheers 👍
Some really stunning Images from up there Gary!

stunning images again Gary and good on you for making the effort to go further off trail 📸👌
Cheers 👍👍

I am young! sort of 😁😁

Great start :)
Nice one Gary, I did exactly the same climb last year 😉👍🏻
Nice one. Did you stop where I did or go to the end?

I did alot of swearing at you. Great shots mountain goat!
Give you a shout tomorrow, see you on Saturday 😁👍
Strange how you didn't use words like graceful, elegant and stylish to describe my climbing skills, strange! 😁😁
@@GaryGough at least there was no arse crack involved!
Bigger balls than me Garry, not with these legs. Brilliant images mate.
lol not sure how to reply to that statement 😁😁
@@GaryGoughprobably best not too. I could never have got up that slope.

I don’t use Lightroom, sorry. You can change colours and white balance selectively in Photoshop though.
All of them
Cheers Ken 👍👍
Ace spot just wondering why you didn't take the path the goes around the road side and up to the top of the falls. Maybe next time bud!
