Great job on the seam! But I'd be weary oj using tape on the walls unless you have the paint (exact paint that was used) on hand, because 90% of the time cheap paint was used or walls weren't primed and you take a high chance of peeling tye paint! Ask me how I know? 😂

Another homeowner with too much money and not enough common sense. I’m an apprentice electrician and myself and another guy walked into a job where a couple had bought a new home. The wife “can’t imagine how they lived without ceiling lights for 20 years.” Also, there’s this “weird thing” where the switches in the rooms power outlets. They found this out when they set up an entire PC on an outlet before they checked what the switch in the room with no light fixture does. Her solution? Pay I-don’t-even-know-how-much for three days now of work to install lighting fixtures. My solution? Buy some fucking lamps. The sad part is, most of the rooms would probably benefit to being lit by lamps. It would give a much more rustic vibe to her barn-convert home. And would be easier than sending dudes up into her 2.5’ attic and trenching through the living room’s drywall to put in lights
I agree with the sentiment of what your saying, but I cant stand switched oulets, lol. My house has them, and im slowly adding overhead lights to all the rooms. Im sick of having lamps take up floor and dresser top space. I could see spending the money on it if I had disposable income...fortunately I can do it myself.

Don't use spackle/mud on wood trim.
First temp/humidity swing that crack will show thru.
You'd be better off with caulk.

@@johnnygarcia2686 how was he not working with wood trim?
What do you think that trim was made from?

MDF
I like your attitude. This is pride in workmanship.
Could've just sanded it from the beginning 😂😂😂
Exactly
Thank you for this. I have a seam in my chair rail I need to cover up and this was the confidence boost I needed to make it happen
this is a trashy way fix it. you remove the board, take a knife and remove wood from behind it so it lays flat
Ready Patch is incredible for these kinds of projects!
It's one of the best if not the best
Wow, haven't seen one of your videos in year!
ready patch is great
“If I wanted to finish the repair faster…” I wouldn’t have charged hourly. 🤣
Looks great, man. Nice work.
I always have a can of ready patch on hand. Bondo is fine and does dry fast but ready patch tends to sand out better and hold paint better. IMO.
Good work!

If you run a wet towel along the area you're gonna tape you won't pull up the paint
Look a good my man🤘🏼
“At the house awhile, doing drywall repair”
Better get out of there before her husband gets back! 😂
Just tell her not to look at it anymore. 😅😅😅😅😅
Drydex works well and drys fast.
I probably would of threw a strip of tape on that before mud.Expansion and contraction could possibly make that mud crack. Maybe
tape on baseboard !? you're nuts
That baseboard might as well be strips of 5/8 drywall at this point
BOOM
My boy 👏🏽
Crack show up before and will show up again do to home wall shifting but you did your job perfectly that is important!
It didn't crack, it was a scarf joint
Next time use yellow wood puddy drys quick and doesn’t leave a mess just over fill it sand down and paint it
Nice
U need a 3m sponsor.
How much do you charge for a repair like this? Thanks
How to get a call back when the seasons change 101 😂😂😂. Dont do this people
I was at this house for a while doing a drywall repair lol oh god.
Guy gets paid every time he says "ready patch."
I would have just sanded it down to a uniform width and then filled if necessary
Echale ganas Mr jalapenos !!!!!!!
How much do u charge for that?
That shit with br back in a week
Should have used Bondo my man that's going to crack out if anthing in that area moves
Get her done👍
Prolly took you all day to do that.
Sanding paper?

Sort the plaster and paintwork while you're there😂
Use bondo or plastic wood. Even epoxy is better that the stuff you used.
I think a quick sand would have done the job too with less work
Just be glad you're not married to that lady.
How do you get these dumb little calls man wtf 😂 can’t imagine driving all the way out for a dinky little repair like that
Bro, hope you laid that off with a brush after rolling
A little wood fill a quick sand and a splash of paint = a quick 5 min job. Not whatever this is lol 😂

More teeth on your blade might help with the rough ✂️
Give a price
Use wood filler instead...
Mdf baseboard?
Why didn't you just sand it 🤷🏼♂️

Takes longer, already going to be there for a while. You sly dog you 😉
Give it a month to crack
Bondo? 🤔
Why do you call yourself jalapeño
No she didn’t
Can you just use light weight mud?
I have the same question
No.. not strong enough. It would crack easily and not adhere as good as the bonding product
I wouldn't ever use drywall mud on wooden trim, it's possible it'll hold, but probably not. it's really only for drywall.
